Here is a good Class description site I use for deciding classes along with helpful hint's as I'm playing.

It will also explain in detail your abilities and how to use them for levels 1-10 if you click on Creation guides for your class.

http://www.tentonhammer.com/vanguard/guides

Vanguard classes are very unique to other mmo's as each class has special abilities that you would not normally find in other mmo's.

My first class in Vanguard was a Disciple.  Early into game play Disciples develop Special chain abilities called  "Endowment".  Without this site I would not know I has these special abilities.  Sure, Disciples have a special tab in game that showes the chains, but no real explanation and being new It would have been weeks before I understood.

It's just a good all around beginners class web site.

The only thing thats really good about tentonhammer is that its still around.

But its no Wiki so nobody can fix the outdated info there.

A wiki is available for example at Silkyvenom.

The best thing about Tentonhammer's Vanguard class guide is that :

If you click on your class > Creation Guide > scroll most of the way down the page, you will come to Level 1-10 Tactics.  Here  it will give you what you can expect from your abilities at each level.  It's in story forum, a walk-through.

Even if your undecided on a class IT EXPLAINS IT WELL.

There is nothing out dated about it.......It's just fine.  Now I understand that the Ranger class had some changes and not sure if it's updated or not but it does not really matter.......This walk-through will tell you everything you would need to know for a beginner even advanced if your trying a new class.

It's much better than most web sites because they just give you one liner's, or just copy and paste what Vanguard gives you in game.

It's basically the Cats Ass :)

Err, the current maxlevel in Vanguard is 55. Level 10 ? Thats what you will have in mere hours.

You dont know your class with level 10. In fact, many classes that are uber later simply suck at 10, such as Shaman. Shaman doesnt get their Totem until level 15 and thats when they really change from a horribly underpowered to a great class.

Another example is Dread Knight. Doesnt get their area lifetap until level 18.

You really don't understand do you ?

1-10 walk-through is only a small part of the class descriptions.  Lets get with the program.  Can't you be a little pro-active.  We both like Vanguard.  Do you act like this in game ?

Uhh, he was just pointing out something he thought was incorrect with your post. It's a misunderstanding. You're the one that came in here all condescending, saying "Get with the program" and "Do you act like this in game". Maybe you should be asking yourself that. You may also want to read further up, where another member posted that tentonhammer isn't updated very often, and can't be edited by other people like a wiki. Not saying it isn't a good guide, but it may not be forever.

 Well,

What I'm trying to get across on the Vanguard forums are good pro-active post.  Some walk-throughs, tips, offer some web finds about the game, suggestions on how to find groups.  All with good intentions.  Sure there from my perspective. How else would you get a point across ?

What would be wrong with something like " here is ANOTHER good class discription site " ?....Instead we get " that's an out dated site, the only thing good about tentunhammer is it's still around ".  ( Suggesting it's crap )

I found ways to make my Vanguard experience GREAT. When I play I have tells waiting for me before I finish loading the game. Nothing I would like more than to tell others my finding's. I like to pass on everything I know. Why ? Because I care.

1) You have Vanguard haters because of the bad launch from what three years ago. People that refuse to lower there settings because they need the best graphics, yet there playing on cheap computers. Others because the game has content that will last two years or more, but they need updates anyway.

2) You have people that like Vanguard. They are the ones that should come here and help pass on good info. I often see things here that i don't like.  As long as it's in a positive direction I would let it go. It's there perspective, they deserve to post too. Everyone has an opinion. I'll show some respect.......Both here and in game !

So here is a great class description web site. ( it's not the only one but a Great one )
