I have played many games that have had free trials, last game was Warhammer. In all the games the sever said that there were many who played, but after the free trial area, the game is dead, and almost boredom if you have not been in a guild from the start of the games release. So I'm thinking a lot about how to VG is after you leave those free trial areas?

We live for the One, we die for the One.

well, compared to size of the world, population is really low, but it slowly increases

if you join a guild and will activelly seek groups, you will be fine, otherwise you will rarely see other players outside the main city hubs

edit: see this post:

The game is certainly not for everyone. The trial isle can feel like a newly launched mmo at times, with everyone running around, people askign questions, etc.

But though the trial Isle will teach players about the game, the main world is far more vast, more open, and for some more lonely.

For me it's perfect. I love seeing a few people here and there but I don't like seeing gobs of people. For some, they want that feeling that one gets when a new mmo launches all the time.

It really is a "your mileage may vary".

I strongly suspect that those people who can take charge of their own fun will fare better in Vanguard than those who are reliant on others to put together all the groups, the raids, the social events.

Guilds help but you don't have to be in one but you'll enjoy it more if you are. There is a social tab which you can look for groups etc and there are rare occasions when you just randomly bump into people doing something. Just help them with whatever their doing even if your not doing it yourself. You should get about 1 new friend a day if you do that and use the social tab and eventually you should get invited to a guild and then you'll be right. It's a big world and it feels likethere isn't many people there and it is a bit low compared to the world size but there are people there if you know where to look. The social tab is your friend if you haven't got a guild and looking for someone to play with.

This isn't a signature, you just think it is.
