Let me tell a story, let me think real hard, but dont expect pure poetry I am not a bard. This story starts with 2 men from Washington State, one was a lumberjack the other his mate.   Its time to buy a computer his mate would say, so they bought one from a rogue who was selling on ebay.

     The Lumberjack was named Leopold his mate was named Lowb, they went on the internet and low and behold, I know a site you will love said their sage friend Tom,  so they clicked an Icon and WOW nope it was just little mmorpg.com. Look at all these games but what shall we play , whats fun , whats great , where shall we stay. What is this? Leopold I think I found it my son, we are going to the land , the great land of Telon. They played all day and well into the night,  Leo was a Pally and Lowb a Dark Kinght, to level was tough, diplomacy was fun but crafting was magic and to this they did run. A helmut,  a Tunic,  some boots for their Lord but it was the shiny piece of steel that they loved- their plus 5 black sword.

      They had great fun but wanted others to play so off they went to the Vanguard forum for  knights they could sway. They were friendly, gregarious and masses thought them cool, lets see what they have to offer lets see if they Rule. Lets form a Guild said Leo and Lowb so they set about thinking of a name they could probe. We will do everything together a city we will build, Knights working with Rogues saloons will be filled. On the Coast we shall lay a foundation of Glory,  we will fight,  and raid,  while crafting a story.

     We built a guild that really did shine, we loved the forests so much like the Rhine, we defeated all monsters and Ale we did drink, we loved to play and fight this was not a time sink. We took everyone in who wanted to come 800 strong came in from the din, we had 300 houses and 36 boats we had auction halls and traiders and even 2 moats, 

     We cleared the land using diplomacy and tact we negotiated with Hobgoblens using fables and fact. But then one day some one slipped poison into our grog, our hearts turned to jello our minds became fog. most of us died the only ones left were Leo and a bard, I dont know what happened said Leo but we fell very hard.

     Look to the west said the Bard to his King, I am looking but cant see -tell me what you sing.  I sing to the spire and I sing to the Towers Long may the Guild live that we called After Hours.

*facepalms* He's talking about his guild in the old bardic manner.  About wanting people to come to Vanguard and help him build it back up.  And stated the name of his guild.  Yes, I'm a roleplayer, I knew exactly what he was talking about.

is sony is serious about putting dev attention back into the game i might re-sub. however dawntide is coming in october and it's not as broken as some things in vanguard still are

"Free to play"  Bahhh Life is not free to play and what would life be without a sword in your hand and a forge to make an Axe. Free to play Twoooo, you cant beat a guard in a card game for free or he will run you through with a spear, a boat is not free it takes many hours of work foraging and living in the wild.  This is a World of Hard Men , soft men come here and leave Hard Tough Warrors . well written, i could imagine how Telon once was hehe,

hopefully with the new dev, the game will get attention once more, for us new players, we hope that we can experience the glory days of Telon once again
