I got a idea from what the thread about pop and death of Vanguard. I say we just see how many people would play Vanguard at all even now with the bad gms. Also to get it alive again to spreed the fun of it. I havent gave it a shot myself yet because i want to see if its revived more. Just post your comments on it and see what happens. Games are supposed to be fun, if they cease to be fun then it is time to move on. |

Strange how people keep replying to these threads as if the game is dead and gone. For those who don't play Vanguard, the game is starting to have a revival. Quite a few players have recently came back and I am seeing alot of new people as well. There are some great guilds running contest at least once a month as well. The GM's are top notch. Once you leave the trial island the game really opens up. The player base is one of the best for being mature, friendly and helpful. If you are new to the game do yourself a favor and head to Mistmore in Thestra. Turn the music off and just listen to the sounds and look at the scenery. Other games just don't come close to making you feel like your in a real world. The tree's sway in the wind. Even the grass moves with the breeze! And there are hidden out of the way places all over that you just find by exploring. Remember when games use to require you to explore? It's an old school kinda game and that's what alot of people seem to be looking for now after trying the hot flavor of the month games that keep getting pumped out. To be sure the game is still not perfect but even in it's present state it beats most of the newer games by a long shot. What would it hurt for you to try it? Pay for a month and get off the trial isle. If you don't like it cancel and all you have lost is $14.95 and some of your free time. On the other hand Vanguard could just be the game you have been looking for all along. As you can tell from my post I still play it and have been since it launched because for me this is the closest I have come to reliving that EQ feeling from way back, when everything was new and you had to figure things out for yourself. |

grow up no pettition will change (or has in any game as a matter of fact) the state of the game or the fututre of it. vanguard buisness model wasnt successfull obviously, it crashed into pieces and its unlikely to be re animated move on |

Originally posted by bepolite I kinda disagree. They chose to drop that part of their business. It had and has (maybe) every chance of being successful, but they chose not to support it. ill sign .. but this thread is pointless. LFD tools are great for cramming people into content, but quality > quantity. |

Actually this is the best time to start putting pressure on SoE to do something with Vanguard.. they won't have SWG next year and that Station Pass lineup is getting thin and old /signed |

If you want Vanguard to get to a state you think it deserves, you gotta put your money where your mouth is. Buy a month and send GM's a message that they will continue to get your hard earned cash if, SOE give's Vanguard more development. |

Am I right in saying I need to purchase game before subscribing I'm sure trial download is just island? Anyone posting here but not playing have no intentions of doing so. Vanguard on the growth, in my opinion people fed up being spoon fed by pure theme parks, vanguard is group based brilliant community too, and challenging which is refreshing.
