Was also my first podcast. I really enjoyed it, so thank you. I figure you will get the audio fixed by the next one.

I am listening to this now and it is cool , how ever I do disagree with them about the only computers that have problems with performance are pre historic, is he talking about people who have a single core 3800 with 1gb ram and a old g4600 nvidea card I would say yes, but when you have an e8500 on windows xp with 4gb of ddr3 ram and a ati 4870 card you should be able to run on more than balanced, but even on balanced there are some lag and hitching problems as i can feel my hard drive trying to catch up and i have a 7200,  they dont mention anything about getting a solid state hd and I thing this game needs it bad.  beside that it is fun listening to their opinion and Vanguard is a great game despite performance issues

Err ... I have a SSD and I still get lag.

I have a quite lowend system, though. Will get a new computer soon. I only have a SSD because my old system broke down and I needed a new primary harddrive.

Ive tried to install VG on my intel g2 ssd, but I can also notice lag/fps drops when I crank everything up to maximum. And Ive a 4i7@4 ghz with 3x5870s watercooled.... And yes, Ive tried to only use one of my Gfx card and cranked it up to 1.2 ghz/5.2 ghz and the lag/fps drops are still there.

I am running Vanguard on a i3-2100 with 8GB DDR3, SSD and a GTX260 with all the settings cranked and I get no lag at all.

Well ... I'm not a native english speaker and my dict doesnt help me here ... does "cranked" mean "all up" or "all down" ? I would assume "all up" but I'm not sure.

I run at minimal settings - usually I get 30 fps, but in combat it suddenly stalls on a random but quite regular basis.

What resolution are you running ?

Nice job guys! This is exactly what the Vanguard community needs. I hope to see this become a pillar of the VG community!

The game is great, the podcast is all right, however, I wonder where the eternal optimism is coming from to claim it has 10-15k subs. Pretty much, everyone who is playing VG right now, or played recently, knows the game is struggling with around 2k exlusive subs (plus a few hundred from soe station).

You won't see more than 450 people online during primetime on an ideal day. It "could" have 2k subs but that doesn't translate into online players unfortunally.

Pretty simple to check really. Do this

/who all 1 10

/who all 11 20

/who all 21 30

/who all 31 40

/who all 41 50

After that you may have to do /who all one level at a time since the majority is 50+, and will exceed the 40 limit. It will give you a very accurate number at that given time when you add it up. I have invested a lot of time in the game last two months and I have this on macro out of morbid curiosity. I can tell you on average on a week day we have about 150 - 250 and on weekends with double exp 400 - 450 online simultaniously. I rounded up in both cases.

I agree with above numbers as I have been doing this ...

On a minimum we have 200 players online and a maximum of 450-500..

IMHO its not a bad number for a game with no updates for 2 years.. and if u are in a good guild..this many players are sufficient to have a good group experience if some body is social and pro active enough and follow a lotof things suggested in other threads.

It is credit to VG for surviving so long and also the players playing it and i feel that worst is already over .

Daily many new players are joining and once patch is announced , I guess the numbers will start touching 1k at least,,,

You guys recording episode 2 anytime soon?  With the updates coming out lately I figured you'd be jumping on that.
