Just got an e-mail off sony offering subs to all games at what i would consider drastically reduced prices from my point of view.firstly all the games tied in.does that mean that they will be forced now to do content for vanguard. What i mean is if people are taking the 12 month option to pay for all these games then surely SOE have to come up with the goods i,e content for vanguard,if they dont and just go along the lines of no content,no dev support ,no patch updates then subscribers are going to totally disappear.because when all said and done, all the other SOE games get support(i think).people will just not treust this company once and for all . I mean there reputation is as low as it can be atm.surely they dont want it getting worse.all i can say is the one game that is crying out for new content is VG. But i suppose one good thing to come out of this is VG is safe for now at least.so all is good to a point with the VG community. |

Isnt that just the Station Pass? Theyve had that for years, and it doesnt mean squat for putting money and effort into the development of any of those games. people have been paying fo rVanguard and a couple of the others for a long time with little to no updates & development. |

Kind of but it has changed everything because of what has transpired with SOE in the last few months, all prices reduced on mmo;s and such, they can't expect people to pay now with no patches, content or support of any kind.to put it bluntly if they wanna keep going downhill fast then they will carry on as normal.if they wanna build there community back up then they better spend a buck or 2. |

Station Pass has been around for a while , but it's been rebranded since the hacks. Now it's called the "All Access Pass" and is offered at a reduced price. On the old Station Pass, you could only subscribe month to month for $29.99/mo (I think that was the price), with the All Access Pass, it's now $19.99/mo and you can go out as far as annual (with a bit of a discount for doing so, average of $14.99/mo for the entire year). While it gives you access to all the SOE games, it traditionally hasn't done anything toward funding any specific game's development or community. |

If anything, they are more likely to close the Vanguard servers in order to cut back on expenses. Developing new content and fixing existing content costs money, and the amount of money Vanguard currently brings in won't justify the effort.
I'm with you though, I wish Sony would improve Vanguard, but it will never happen. No pleasure, no rapture, no exquisite sin greater... than central air. |

Well if they do that then the 'all station pass' will be worthless to them.all you will be left with is eq1&2 and planetside seen has the pc version of DCUO is pretty much dead already. |

Actually, I just read this post: http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/post/4300554#4300554 Quote from that post (which is a quote from the Vanguard forums): Vanguard has gotten a lot of attention internally this past week. I do believe that a road map for the game is being worked on. When that road map will be agreed upon and ready for posting, I do not know. When that information is ready to be shared it will be posted as soon as possible.
It looks like SOE might be investing more time into Vanguard. Probably taking the team from SWG and having them work on Vanguard. I wonder what that means for the future of VG? No pleasure, no rapture, no exquisite sin greater... than central air. |

Well if they do shut it down without even trying to do something with it i,ll never sub to an SOE game again..and also if they do shut it down they should sell it to someone who really wants to make a go of the game.i doubt that will happen though. |
