So whats the status of Halgar ? Anyone playing there ?

Yeah, I don't think it's really even considered a server anymore. No offense to anyone still stuck there.

My guild usually has around 25-30 members online at all times on the weekends, 10 or so of them are not from North America. I'd consider that a noteworthy population.

And just a note if you have a character stuck there all alone, you can still just petition to get them moved to Telon.

I know I can just petition to move my characters from Halgar to Telon, but whats the point ? I would get bad ping in the USA. Considering that my main is in full APW armor, I would of course like to try the overland bosses with him now. But with bad ping, very likely any guild who tries them wouldnt accept me anyway.

I never had any ping issue when playing on the American servers, and I'm Eu. Sure it was higher. How does the trial work? Is that a us server? Because if it is, you could check out the trial and see the ping, if you haven't tried it. But if you already know its bad, I dunno :\

I started playing again on Halgar. It still has some people. I saw about a douzen of them at the best time (with a "/who all 11 55"). I heard claims a guild (german "Zunft der Handwerker", translated "craft/guild of [the] artisans/craftsmen/manufacters") would return with raid force.

Fortunately, with my army of crafters, I am quite independent - and with such a small number of people, I might even provide the full server. Still I hope more people will start playing and I wont have to do all the crafting.
