Amazing. They're the same as they used to be - inept. Started my free trial, created a character, and logged in only to see a "Servers closing in two minutes" message, and, even though the log-in message says all the servers are up, they're still down after 4 hours. Takes me back to the good old days of EQ, when this used to happen regularly. Oh well, it's a 14-day trial, so I might get some use out of it. |

I don't know what you expect, or how that is same ole' Sony. They patch almost every Tuesdays with the servers coming down at 5am PST. Downtime is about 4 hours for patching usually. The downtime is announced in advanced in 'Vanguard Announcements': http://forums.station.sony.com/vg/posts/list.m?topic_id=48941 And a developer usually also posts further detail and answers questions about the patch too: http://forums.station.sony.com/vg/posts/list.m?topic_id=48942
It's like clockwork and very predictable. Servers are almost always back up quicker than four hours. How this is inept in your opinion beats me. /shrug. |
