The official website for Magic Hat Software has been the victim of some cyber crime this afternoon as someone calling themselves "muie" - with the help of "shadow - defaced the site with several profanity laced tirades, pornography and other unwanted changes. The site has since been taken down by the company.
"I have to laugh to be honest," said Alan Chipura of Magic Hat Software. "Some people do not have enough better things to do than deface a public website."
The game's website was not impacted by the hacker who proclaimed a possible motivation, on the site itself, to be: "I HATE YOU ALL THE MOMENT I SAW THIS".

One of their admins had a stupid (easy) password. Why even hack Irth? Go for a big target like Sony if you really want to make a statement. The guys a loser noob

NOTE: The pinhead can't even spell "hacked" properly. *groan* SOMEONE needs to spend more time at school, and less time with their script-kiddie buddies.
I love how these brain-donors call themselves "hackers", when a TRUE 'cracker' would run circles around their borrowed/stolen scripts with ease.
Damn straight. A true hacker doesn't pull this kind of childish crap, and it's below what a cracker could do. Just a lowlife chump kiddie using mommy's Gateway with Win 98SE and AOL, probably.
The guys who hacked the BF2 server, that are hackers. They do it for there own fun and to help EA improving there security.
They unlocked all weapons from 5 million account (40.000.000 to 45.000.000).
The kinda folks that used to by a sniper rifle and head to a tall tower have gone online. In a funny way, this petty vandalism is not such a big deal and just makes others more aware about website security.
