It is actually rather fun. Though I'm no longer subbed to EVE, Exploring was one of the more entertaining things I've done. It looks like they've improved the interface from my old exploration days of salvaging.

Eve Online has always been a game about realism. Whether a game feature seems boring or not, CCP is dedicated to providing spreadsheet freaks something to dissect and analyze to feed their strategic needs. I like Eve Online, but it's a bit too slow paced for me.

Yeah jotull. Because in every other MMO where you explore, it's fun, right? Oh yeah! I get to run around with my feet. Or maybe, if I'm lucky, on a mount! Holding the W key down until my index finger hurts, following a map inch by inch until I discover some new cave with a couple of plants and maybe a skeleton growing inside.
Exploration can only be so much fun. At least CCP made it realistic.

If you guys knew how it was before apocrypha you would be praising this interface, its a lot more fun than it used to be and if you would actually play and get to understand the game you will know how much its worth. But yea... scanning is very boring don't get into it... .

I quit EVE right after the new scanning system was implemented. The old scanning system was way more complicated, but I loved it. You needed brain, personal skills and in-game skills to do it, now the only thing you need to do is click & drag. Like many other aspects of this game, the scanning system is now retard proof.
The question i have is:
For ship probbin you use the same "technique" as for wh scanning? Cause this scanning system seems to take quite some time to complete and if your probbin for a jumping planets fleet (or worse, a single small ship, like a ceptor) I don't think you'll ever get a warp-to result.

I love everything about EVE. The Storyline is great, the world is amazing, the ships are gorgeous and the game itself is something amazing however, it is a very tedious game. Sadly, it is a huge time consumer :(

That was time consuming but really cool. I like space and exploration a lot but EVE is PVP. Therefore , it is not a game I would play. I would play it if I could fly around and just explore, mine, and sell. Did they update the graphics? I have not played it in like 3-4 years. Peace to all.

It's actually a beautiful and very in-depth game. I just despise the fact that if you get ganked; you lose your ship in total and have to fly around in a lifepod. I had a 2 month free pass and uninstalled this game after 2 hours due to that one little fact. If you pay to play a game; the developers should offer a little bit of leeway; I guess I'm not a 'hardcore geek' anymore.
But money talks; and I took my money elsewhere.

and UncleSickey what do u suggest a life and death system like wow's that u don't lose anything in EvE? That would be so interesting to se implemented (i doupt they will ever implement this) but that same thing is what makes eve an adrenaline rush in fleet/small gangs REAL PVP! :)

btw I had played this game 2 years ago for alot of time it almost destroyed my life...
I restarted it recently with some of my friends ... with a good pvp char they only thing that bothers me is that u lose to much time to make money in this game and it feels like real work ... It is sure a time consuming game and i don't think i will play it for very long time... except if i find a way to make money without missioning / ratting with small efford and trade perhaps...
