Ozmodan writes: You have to admire the hedgemony at CCP. They have a vision for this game and they continue to develop it. It is on of the few developers that continues full development on their game. Tue Nov 11 2008 7:02AM Report

metalhead980 writes: Second string mmo? I promise you this second string MMO will be around fully supported for the next 5-10 years. Long after your WoW is gone this game will have its third graphics update and have full planetary exploration and ground combat. Tue Nov 11 2008 12:43PM Report

Wizardry writes: This video actually intrigued me.I have so much to say,but i'll try to make it short.First of all this guy sounds intelligent[knows his game and what is expected by the industry. I would also like to commend the players that have stuck by this game. This guy admits the game in it's first years was a VERY weak game,no where near the standards it should be[as i have stated myself in the past].However there staff was apparently very small, and he said they never got bigger until just recently the yare out sourcing. This guy realizes there game needs to catch up to technology, however i don't believe they are getting close YET. After i saw this video i sor tof believe these guys WILL eventually get there game to the highest standards and the game itself will be quite good. They can thank there player base for sticking with them ,waiting so long for it to happen. It is too bad, that by time it happens ,it will be too late i think to get new subscribers,i would love to play the game when it finally gets there.Good luck to those who love the game and are willing to wait a little longer,i think it will be there in the end. Alphahelix writes: I'm impressed, though what I'm not impressed about is Torfi's ability to hold a proper conference presentation, there is a GIANT MONITOR behind him that goes completely unused, therefore making everyone in the room, and the cameraman, stare at two what look like two 21 inch wide aspect monitors, with tiny screenshots on them that you can see absolutely no detail on. Should have utilized the screen he stood in front of the whole time. And I agree with Lex, less talking, more showing what you are talking about. Tue Nov 11 2008 8:28PM Report
remyburke writes: Damn...what a horribly dissappointing HALF HOUR presentation. blah blah blah, and a 2 minute slide show at the end. :( Tue Nov 11 2008 9:10PM Report
brenth writes: these guys need to remember we cant hear the audiencees questions. its anoying that he thinks its unfare to gank a guy in station but its perfectly fine for them to gank your unarmed hauler or miner?!!! your lucky we dont have bomb vests let alone a spoon!!! Wed Nov 12 2008 2:59AM Report
brenth writes: the guys that say this game has awesome content are easily amused by paper bags for hours. earth and beyond had more than 250k subscribers when they closed their doors, and they had similar in game ambilation. only hardcore PVPers are left in eve everyone else is waiting for star trek online to play a space game without the casual player hostile game play the eve devs continue to focus on just like sonys NGE. sadeyx writes: to the typical gamer, who plays for fun, Eve is too boring. Its intricate and detailed functions and features are sure to keep those players hungry for infinatly complex depth and strategy. It entertain me for a long time but stopped to play more 'fun' games. If I ever want a serious and mentally challenging game again Ill be sure to go back to eve - I hardly think walking in stations will have any impact on this. Wed Nov 12 2008 4:48AM Report
dtb371 writes: Holy crap. This presentation excited me. EVE's combat is the best vehicular MMORPG combat in existence. EVE Online is light years better than what has so far been presented for STO. And now this has made me realize that this game is going to put the RP back in MMORPG. No one RPs anymore, the olden days of Ultima Online RP guilds being as big or bigger than PVP guilds seems dead...but making your NPCs' backstories?! Creating your businesses from scratch, including what is physically IN them, and tying your various properties together with in-character, truly role played PLAYER GENERATED missions!?!!? I need new pants. Wed Nov 12 2008 6:01AM Report
Minsc writes: for those who are wondering why he's not using the big screen this was the press presentation done on thursday before the fanfest really started so they are still setting up. if you want to see ambulation in action CCP will be putting up their recordings of all of the presentations sometime this week or next. Wardrop writes: Eves Developers have the very best Value product model out to date. The create content and release it as patches for free. No paid money grab expansions like many other mmog developers. This is the reason we all pay our money each month, this is what it was suppose to be for, content. I think this is the very reason i keep resubbing to EVE over the years, ( just resubbed after watching this vid). My $$'s go farther, i can pick it up when efver i want and dont have to worry about running out and paying another $30. cause i dont own an expansion pack. Its nice. These latest changes to the game, and the 64 bit stackless is going to allow my vista 64 bit custom system open up at its full potential. This guys passion is very inviting as a consumer, its very rare after all these years to see it just as strong today as it was in 2003. Wed Nov 12 2008 10:43AM Report
