Jcdx writes: I've played WoW for more than 2,5y and switched to EVE recently. the game has potential and is being developed properly. dynamic world it the way to go... static, non-changing situation in WoW got me bored out of that game. also character development is really well designed eliminating awful, dull grind. damian7 writes: someone actually stated "eve has potential"? eve has been out for YEARS, it should've reached it's potential, not just be showing it. sack the cheating staff members (paid and volunteer), put the rest on normal accounts to play with, instead of their godmode accounts, and level the playing field THAT way... otherwise, take this cheat filled game and send it to the garbage heap where it belongs. Lonewolf writes: Takes a long time to get into but the sheer depth of the game means such fulfilling gameplay that is shaped by people not by NPC's Tue Jun 19 2007 7:46AM Report
Klasper writes: Eve is the greatest MMO imho. Endless possibilities for you to do, and the customization/fitting of your ships/fleets makes it very tactical & strategic, and therefore entertaining. And talking about the trailer, it uses in-game graphics, which looks superb as well :) Tue Jun 19 2007 7:55AM Report

Phasics writes: I always smile when I hear people bagging eve, about its flaws and why they quit after a month, EVE gets better every time one of you quits as it leaves us with a universe filled with people who have an attention span of more than 5 seconds. Our corporations and alliances plans spans months and years to conquer territory and develop it with multi-billion isk installations we build from scratch under massive attack from rival alliances staking their own claims. And your MMO plans go as far as what ? getting that next level to get the new sword that lets you kill the new critter that lets you level up that lets you get the next sword that zzzzzzzzzz......... mccoyy writes: Nice trailer but as airborne said..doesnt reflect the horrid gameplay...how can a company get away with a so called "expansion" with no content is beyond me? LOL..they come out with bug fixes and call it an expansion! keep an eye out for POTBS guys.this game is over now, move on Tue Jun 19 2007 9:42AM Report

jahshua writes: It's not necessarily a expansion like you think. It's their way of presenting patches. It's more of a patch than it is a expansion, but it's a lot more interesting and unique approach to to patch distribution. I don't play EVE but I have and I'm not going to lie, it is a really fun and nice to look at game. As many have said it takes patience. And I admit I don't have quite the attention span to play it. But I would definitely recommend it to all my friends. Tue Jun 19 2007 10:45AM Report
Saerain writes: CCP does not charge for their expansions, they are simply very large patches of new content. Tue Jun 19 2007 10:50AM Report
dspectre writes: First off, Eve rocks. Second off, to the people that ask how CCP can get away with launching an expansion with no content, have you even looked at what's in Revelations? The expansion was so intensive and massive that CCP had to split it up and launch it as three seperate parts. AND THEY DID IT FOR FREE! What did WOW's massive expansion give us? $50(can) gone out of our wallets, new areas where the green items are better than the Raid 3 Epics guilds spent months trying to collect, and the same old, already been done, storylines that we already had, just revamped. At least CCP are trying to make a game that's progressive, that actually makes you work towards something and actually makes you feel something when you take a 100 Million dollar battleship into 0.0 space with a couple of 100 million dollars worth of gear on it. My char on WOW dies, I pay a repair bill of 6g, and I lose nothing. I lose a BS in Eve, that's 300 or 400 million lost. Makes the achievement, and the loses, that much greater imo. karniasada writes: eve is not a game for everyone. it is a game that requires strategy, tact, real social diplomacy and ambition. it's far more than a game, it's an investment and anyone that has lasted since the beta, such as myself will tell you the same. the same people that complain for the whole two weeks they spend in eve, are probably the same ones that indulge themselves in the point and click and level and feel powerful when they level to 70 and prey in newb areas. you're welcome to try that in eve, although i wouldnt cancel your wow account, you will most likely need it soon. jmpreiss writes: Beautiful. I enjoy the way they did this trailer. As for it not having content...If one were to take a look at the patch notes, you'd be sitting there for quite some time reading all that Revelations 2 is bringing to EVE. Yes, there are much needed bug fixes, but there are things being added that are pretty immense. The way Sov is going to work now will make 0.0 extremely interesting as just an example. Darxz writes: Well, im a fan of both Sci-Fi MMO's and Fantasy MMO's. Even though i played only the 14-day trial. I see it as a awesome game. karniasada i see what you mean about WoW. I think im going to stop at 58 where i need the expansion. why should you have to pay for a patch? I think Eve Online is next on my agenda. Tue Jun 19 2007 5:29PM Report

Devilon writes: Why would the Amarr fight the Caldari? Tue Jun 19 2007 8:01PM Report
RogueSeven writes: a very well put together video by ccp, love it, shows you how massive fleets can get...and to the guys asking why amarr are fighting caldari, the amarr are like a die hard religious race, if you've seen stargate sg1, they are like the ori, if you dont believe in them they'll enslave you or destroy you...at least try, the minmatar were once slaves, but they rebelled during the gallenta-amarr war, this, the gallente and minmatar are probably "allies"...not really allies, just have a liking to each other for now..the caldari and amarr are lone wolves, the caldari have a very high tech fleet and dont need much numbers, the amarr just dont like anyone and they have pretty high tech stuff too, on top of that i believe the amarr fleet is the biggest(this is all storyline speaking, not anything with pvp and stuffs btw)...so yeah, rev II came out today, gonna check if server is up right now:D Wed Jun 20 2007 1:29AM Report
sr4delta writes: Thats an avatar and a ragnarok in that final battle, so it was amarr and minmatar that were fighting. Cadari and amarr are also allied almost as much as the gallente and minmatar, look at the empire standings. Plus amarr are the least advanced race ship wise, using armor instead of shields, almost no electronic warfare, and lasers instead of particle accelerators or gravitational pulse missiles.
