  • Hulkageddon IV Starts

    EVE Online players will want to check out the official Hulkageddon IV site for information about the event that is ongoing throughout this week. Hulkageddon events allow "players (to) attempt to suicide gank as many mining (and related) vessels as possible". Prizes are awarded to those scoring the highest 'gank' totals.

  • New Rules Coming to Singularity

    The CCP dev blog has been updated with news that the rules on the Singularity test server are "a-changin'" soon. CCP Oneiromancer discusses the rules as they currently stand and then lists out the new ones that will be implemented shortly.

  • Captain's Quarters Coming This Summer

    In a new EVE Online dev blog, CCP Chiliad has a forward look at the upcoming captain's quarters that will begin the arrival of Incarna. Capatain's quarters are scheduled to hit the public test server later this spring and arrive on Tranquility this summer. The plan is to bring Incarna online in smaller, incremental deployments similar to what was implemented during the Incursion expansion.

  • Incursion 1.2 Applied

    CCP has announced that the v1.2 version of the EVE Online incremental expansion, Incursion, has been applied to Trinity. The 1.2 version brings optimizations for clones, marketplace improvements, and character capture among other things. Much of the content in the 1.2 patch came as a direct result of cooperative planning by the CSM and the CCP dev team.

  • Sansha Destroyed

    The EVE Online Insider is reporting that a collective group of nearly one hundred capsuleers gathered in the Parchanier system in the Algintal constellation to defeat a Sansha invasion. From all reports, the Sansha were defeated and a Nation super carrier were destroyed effectively chasing the Sansha from the region.

  • A Picture Worth a Thousand Quests

    In "Celebrating the Creative Player IV", CCP Fallout shows off some of the best EVE Online fan-created material out there. Among other things, there is the most amazing flowchart we've ever seen simply called "What to do in EVE". It is a sight not to be missed. But wait! That's not all: The chart also includes hyperlinks to wiki articles and more with all the information you need to complete the task.

  • Planetary Interaction Changes

    CCP Omen has posted a new developer blog on the official EVE site about changes in the planetary interaction since the advent of the full Incursion expansion. CCP Omen spends time discussion the Extractor Control Unit (ECU) and how exactly it works. Omen provides players with a great user guide complete with images and instructions on making the best use of the ECU.

  • Keeping API Secure

    The latest EVE Online blog post by CCP Stillman discusses team efforts to keep user data safe and the underlying HTTP protocol used by the API feature. As a result of new and aggressive hacker attempts, the team is changing the protocol from HTTP to HTTPS to ensure that user data remains secure.

  • The Sansha Arrive

    EVE Online players now have the Sansha to deal with in game in addition to other players. Full scale incursions are on the rise throughout all systems. Capsuleers are being destroyed in droves as ships come to help stem the tide of the Sansha invasions.

    CCP has sent word that EVE Online developers will be hosting what they are calling a "live blog event" at 22:00 UTC. Soundwave, Hammer, Flying Scotsman, and Omen will be on hand to answer player questions submitted to the team last week.

  • Portrait Creator UI to Be Updated

    CCP Games has acknowledged difficulties experienced by some EVE Online players when using the new portrait creator. As a result, the UI for the portrait creator has been updated to give more explanation on topics including which of the four portraits will be used in game and how to get back to the creation tool to alter the appearance of one's portrait.
