EVE Online players will want to check out the official Hulkageddon IV site for information about the event that is ongoing throughout this week. Hulkageddon events allow "players (to) attempt to suicide gank as many mining (and related) vessels as possible". Prizes are awarded to those scoring the highest 'gank' totals.

Reported on Feb 18, 2011In a new EVE Online dev blog, CCP Chiliad has a forward look at the upcoming captain's quarters that will begin the arrival of Incarna. Capatain's quarters are scheduled to hit the public test server later this spring and arrive on Tranquility this summer. The plan is to bring Incarna online in smaller, incremental deployments similar to what was implemented during the Incursion expansion.
Reported on Feb 17, 2011CCP has announced that the v1.2 version of the EVE Online incremental expansion, Incursion, has been applied to Trinity. The 1.2 version brings optimizations for clones, marketplace improvements, and character capture among other things. Much of the content in the 1.2 patch came as a direct result of cooperative planning by the CSM and the CCP dev team.

Reported on Feb 06, 2011The EVE Online Insider is reporting that a collective group of nearly one hundred capsuleers gathered in the Parchanier system in the Algintal constellation to defeat a Sansha invasion. From all reports, the Sansha were defeated and a Nation super carrier were destroyed effectively chasing the Sansha from the region.

CCP Omen spends time discussion the Extractor Control Unit (ECU) and how exactly it works. As a result of new and aggressive hacker attempts, the team is changing the protocol from HTTP to HTTPS to ensure that user data remains secure.

As a result, the UI for the portrait creator has been updated to give more explanation on topics including which of the four portraits will be used in game and how to get back to the creation tool to alter the appearance of one's portrait.
