As a result, CCP and the Council of Stellar Management held an 'extraordinary' meeting to discuss the issue. The two groups have reached an agreement with regard to virtual goods, namely that only vanity items will be sold.

A document has surfaced with the names of over five thousand players indicating they will be cancelling their EVE subscription over recent documents focused around the company's microtransaction revenue model.

Reported on Jun 16, 2011CCP has announced that the revamped EVE Online forums have been redeployed for feedback and testing after a somewhat less-than-spectacular launch in April. On the initial launch, the forums experienced a rash of security issues. According to the latest EVE dev blog, those issues have been resolved and the forums are back up and running. Players are invited to test drive them and offer opinions and suggestions.
Reported on Jun 16, 2011CCP Games has issued a statement regarding yesterday's DNS attack on the EVE Online server. CCP closed the EVE server when the attack was discovered as a precautionary measure. As a result, no user data was lost.

According to a terse post on the EVE Facebook page, CCP is shutting the server down until further notice to deal with the attack.
