I have heard of some people managing to get drones to mine around or more than the same amount as a strip miner. Could some people detail the skills and equipment required to maximize mining amount on this ship?

I have Mining Barges IV, Mining V,  Astrogeo V, etc so I think that the main way for me to increase this amount is through drones, which I am currently training up more.

make sure that you use t2 crystals and t2 strip miners

Best way I have found is go to a system without 40 people mining, I got a nice little spot where hardly anyone goes.    I do the can method, with about 6 heavy cans you can move along and fill them up.   And after I fill up my ship which can hold about 4.2, then a quick trip with my hauler.   One trip Im hauling about 16.0  which makes me about 1.3 million ISK after refining.   One trip takes me about one hour.  

Not too bad Im pretty low on skills still, using a middle ground mining barge.
