Hi what would be a good choice of frigate for a Caldari doing agent missions? Pan |

Use the kestrel or merlin at first, and but aim toward using a Destroyer. Get spaceship command III, and frigate III, then get the Destroyer skill. The Comorant is great for level 1 missions. |

Yeah, the Kestral and Merlin seem to be Caldari Frigs of choice. I would actually say skip the Cormorant for the time being and power on to cruisers. As good a Cormorant is for level 1 missions, a Caracal is better. |

for PvE, caldari is the right race. merlin -> caracal -> drake -> raven. you can solo most lvl 4s with just 2mils SP in a raven that barely float. (i used to fly one of these till i cross trained to gallente and fly a domi) |

Merlin is really the only choice. Kestrel dies very easily. |

It can't be said enough, take a Kestrel. With the right fitting, you can do better than well :) |

I remember when I started playing EVE (a long time ago) that I mostly used Merlin for PvE. I might be wrong since EVE changed a lot since then and CCP added a lot of missions and changed new player experience. |

Here is the problem with some of the advice you've been given so far. The Kestrel is a missile boat and the Cormorant is a hybrid gunship. If you train for the Kestrel then work on the destroyer your training dual weapon systems. My PvE alt didn't even train gunnery until I was well over 30 million skillpoints. If you like guns better than missiles you should concider another race right off the bat. If you want to stick with Caldari and fly gunships you should start in the Merlin. If you want to use missiles start with the Kestrel and work your way up to a Caracal (cruiser). Also, it is possible to fly a decent passive tanked Drake (battlecruiser) in under a week. If you can afford one that should be your short term goal. |
