Seems there has been a problem with the sound for quite sometime. I mostly notice this in the begining cinematics including character creation cinemas. There are cracking/popping/stuttering noises throughout the game and it's just not as enjoyable anymore. It boggles my mind how long this issue has been going on for.
Suggestion to CCP: Please fix this or I will not be coming back anytime soon and I can bet I am not the only one that feels this way.
That is not intended to be a childish threat or inspire motivation. I just want this fixed so I can enjoy EvE like I use to. Join <Steadfast> |

the only bug i have experienced with sound is on my abbadon's pulse lasers sometimes dont work, but other wise, 99% of the sound works in game. Tried updating you drivers for your soundcard? |

Yes I've updated my driver. I use a bit of an outdated card (SB Live! 24 bit).. What happens is that I get popping/stuttering during cinematics and character selection and Aura's voice...then in game the channel that provides the music makes a static like popping sound ( I know this because when i turn down just that channel the popping stops)..It's very annoying because I use to love the music in EvE. Petition it, see if it's Eve's or your soundcards fault. :P I've never had problems with the sound in eve, but generally it's muted, because I have other things to listen to. |

Yep I petitioned it. I did figure out the in game sound crackling..i adjusted my audio acceleration back to full. The only problem I have now is the cinematics in the opening and character customization. Wish I can see that amazing cinema without cracking and popping sounds along with the dreadful stuttering.
As for it being my video cards fault...doubt it. I played EVE on 2 different computers with totally different specs and they both do the same thing. Plus, this is the only game I've had a sound issue in. Join <Steadfast> |

i get a lot of cracking and popping also only when warping or in battle when the sound switches from left to right,only running the intergated sound not a card the , also in the character creation when the voice is talking i get major repeats and the sound aways gets stuck ive tryed everything,from updating the driver to running fusion for gaming and still at a nill |

Intrestingly enough when i play the game from my bose speakers it sucks, but when i use my headset it rocks. LOL |

hmmm ....go figure it must just be the coice coils that do it then because bose is the best there is on the market |
