My n00bness knows no bounds so I apologize for another goofy question. I started a Me-Myself-and-I corporation just to play around. I've noticed a huge disparity in the fees to rent an office in different stations. How are rental fees set? Is it some function of the supply of offices at a station and the demand for stations there? Is there a limited supply of office space at stations? I'm just curious as to why an office costs 10,000 isk one place and 40,000,000 someplace else. Thanks for any insights.

16 office slots per station.
More occupied slots, higher the price over time - recalcuated each DT.

Demand causes the fluctuation in price of offices and industrial slots (research and factory).

Here's an old devblog that explains it:

there is a small trick to have  a office but NO hangar even if the station is full,  when you create a corp you must be on said station in jita 4-4 for example when you get a free office but no hangar

With the change so that you can join a corp remotely there are little need for hangerless offices.
