Knight Online News - New Rules Against Cheating

Posted by Craig McGregor on Jan 07, 2005  | 3 comments in our forums

e-Games recently announced that they will be taking a hard-line stance against people who are cheating in Knight Online using recent duping exploits.  Their official announcement is below:

Dear Knight Online e-Gamers,

It is with a heavy heart that we come to a decision to have an Enforcement Rule in effect in Knight Online gameplay due to the widespread item dupe exploitation. From today onwards, the following will apply at all times to sustain game balance within the servers:
  • +8 Weapon: Delevel by 3 levels per +8 weapon per day for possession in the account per character.
  • +9 Armour/Weapon: Delevel by 3 levels per +9 weapon/armour per day for possession in the account per character.
  • +10 Armour/Weapon: Delevel by 10 levels per +10 weapon/armour per day for possession in the account per character.
  • Pink/Green Rice Cakes/Water of Blessing/Abyss Holy Water: Account will be suspended for 1 week if the account is found with a total of more than 10 units from all inventory and storage in the account. Account will be suspended permanently if the account is found to contain more than 1000 units.
Action will be taken without prejudice and will be enforced on all players. However, the delevel punishment will be restored back to original level with 0 experience points once this situation is solved. Delevelled characters will not gain extra experience points and will not level up until the situation is solved. A permanent ban is considered a final punishment, accounts will not be released after the situation is solved.

Players have the freedom to place where ever they want with their items and we will not take any of these items away from the characters forcefully before an investigation has been made. But please bear in mind that players who have the above items in their accounts will continue to be marked and will be affected by the Enforcement Rule until the above items have been removed.

Tip:
- Please do check the inventory of every character in your account at all times.

*** The weapons/armor affected above are all of higher grade and cannot be bought from NPCs.

Regards,
e-Games Knight Online Team
