AlysenMinase writes: Been hearing about this game for awhile, and finally gave it a try. After a week of free play I am subscribing. The Graphics are a mixed bag. The environments are great for an indie dev, but the player models themselves are dissapointing. They are stiff and animations are laughably bad. Sound is nothing special. Role playing potential is there once you can customize your avatar more. Value is great, you get 2 months for a little more than 1 month compared to other MMOs. The performance works great at times, but sometimes it crashes, the fps skips around more than it should, etc. All of the bads are easily offset, IMO, by the unique features the game has. There is nothing else like it out atm. You can change the landscape, taking away land and adding it elsewhere. You can dig mines, you can build structures, etc. Everything is player crafted, and the community is by far the best of any game I've played. Sun Jan 09 2011 1:15AM

Astrina writes: Game is a sandbox. No real quests to drive you down a path of any sort. Even the starting quests are not helpful. However, if you like crafting and have some patience for a steep learning curve...this game has a great deal to offer. You build your own villiage, every single part of it...including changing the land. You chop down trees...but don't forget to replant or you won't have any trees over time. It's all about building and creating your place. And yes, you can make sure nobody can harass you on the Freedom server (you own the plot of land and nobody you don't give permission to, can do anything). However there is another server, with PvP. Personally, I like the mellow existance of my own villiage on Freedom server..with only the fear of local monsters invading to concern myself with..well, other than maintaining the constant needs of my villiage. Yes, this game is hard to learn. Yes, this game isnt top end graphics. But it's got a whole lot more depth than meets the eye. You can play for free on one server for 20 levels of skill if you want to give it a try. But I have to say, it dosnt give you the proper feel for the game till you join a real villiage with other players to help you learn. If you can direct yourself and not need quests and you love to build, then try this. Mon Apr 19 2010 1:51PM
elocke writes: Not very fun. Not very pleasing to the eyes. Not very intuitive to control. Bad in every way except it's ideas. Take those same ideas, throw about a million bucks or 2 at this and you MIGHT have a game worth buying. Otherwise, GIVE me a break and polish and work on UI and movement in a world FIRST. So sick of all these games making me retrain my hands and eyes and mind just to move a character. Mon Mar 08 2010 8:30AM
TheHatter writes: Good idea, poorly executed. Plus, there are probably more ratings on this game than people who actually play. Sun Dec 13 2009 1:15PM
Rednecksith writes: Game is horrifically bad. Walk into town... mauled by a bear. Explore the woods... mauled by a wolf. That's my experience in about 2 hours of playing this game. Even after finding a small place to actually do something other than get killed, the counter-intuitive controls and outright hostility of the community leaves very, very little to be loved. Fantastic idea, destroyed by piss-poor implementation. Fri Oct 09 2009 3:55PM

Rubycat writes: Rolf doesn't seem to know what he wants his game to be anymore. -we went from the beta with 1 server, to Gold with his vision of a Home (non pvp) and a Wild server (pvp) -a database error caused a reset making Gold 2 (still Home and Wild) then he adds a third kingdom MR. and adds MR home. -then he decides that his plan involved the servers being able to interact with each other (Raiding across each). -Now he claims the whole home idea failed and is scrapping the home servers (JK-MR) and making a new non pvp "Freedom" server and an "Epic" server. The wild server will still be intact. ===== What was the point for all those who played on the home servers to even need to deal with the raiding when he was just going to nuke those servers anyways? ===Notice=== I don't mention GoldenValley as it was never part of his plan, it was made due to the 4chan influx of players. ====== I really don't trust Rolf anymore, its not worth paying for a game that cant keep it self together =not the occasional reset, this happens constantly== Fri May 22 2009 12:45PM
