After having played Rift beta and the first 2 weeks, I felt like I was "still in Azeroth". Searching for crafting/building games I found Wurm Online. Logging in, doing the tutorial seemed straight forward. Then, being dumped in the middle of a town that, for a 10-15 minutes walk in any direction is pretty much deeded (owned by players), I joined a small town just starting. After having built my house, explored a bit and starting to get the hang of things via the Wiki, I noticed something... It was the change that I needed from the mundane quest after quest games I had been playing. Wurm Online has crafting and building up the whazoo! Terraforming (shaping the land to your needs), foraging, hunting, smithing, ship building and then sailing them, carpentry, masonry, it's really fun...check it out I'm going to go play right now I'm having a blast and it's a nice change from the monotony.
