The team from Fallen Earth has released some new information about the upcoming 1.2.0 patch, offering MMORPG.com readers a sneak peek.
On October 22 the Fallen Earth development team will roll out a major patch, featuring new player experience areas. These new areas are an optional extension to the existing tutorial. Also included in the patch are upgrades for town events and eight pages of bug fixes, confirming that this team doesn't sleep.
"While we wanted players to have unlimited options in their game play experiences, so many options so early in the game can be overwhelming for even experienced players," said Colin Dwan, project manager for Fallen Earth. "This isn't hand-holding, because we don't want to remove the challenge of the game--we're just making some of the early game choices more understandable."
hmmm, linky didn't work for me.
Linky does work for me ...
just a shame they're adding trial keys...
still the "help" chat is always patrolled by at least 1 GM at ALL times... so it's not too bad.
brilliant game keeps getting better, a true sandbox of fun... <3 the game, where levelling isn't rushed... and exploring is rewarded (from nodes, to AP, to quests, to little camps for goodies)
much better than "welcome to level 32 in Aion, we only have repeatable quests for you worth 2 mobs of XP, feel free to grind that 6 million XP at 10k per mob, enjoy"
no.
Totally agreed. Now if they could just fix that horribly clunky targetting/combat....
Good article, thanks for posting. I picked up FE after realizing that I didn't get what I expected in Aion. I don't mind grind, but I do mind bots.
I'm really happy with FE and I think I'm going to stick with it, and it deserves double props for being from an indie studio. I just hope the trial keys don't equate to RMT offers in-game, but there is always a GM patrolling the Help channel, so I'm not too worried.

I just picked this game up and am completely enjoying it. At first I was a little apprehensive about the apocalyptic approach but it is really starting to grow on me. It's not that I wanted ANOTHER fantasy MMO - it's that I was afraid it would be a glossed over Terminator type of MMO. Sure am glad I was wrong on that front.
I would say if your on the fence about this game give it a shot. The graphics aren't breathtaking, but simple things are highly entertaining. Something about wacking a Prairie Chicken over the head with a piece of lumber can't help but put a smile on my face just thinking about it. :-)
Precu SWG is gone, but now there is FE. Long live Icarus, Long live FE!
i was using a frying pan for the longest. lol. darned thing actually had good dps for my lvl.
Yay linky does work, I think my comp has to much attitude and only does what it wants to do.
QFE.
Should probably start patching the artwork and graphics, and stability first.
