Many of you look at fallen earth as another game trying to be different from other games, you see Free 2 Play and then you immediatly think Play 2 Win, This is quite the opposite the item male has mostly cosmetics and exp boosters along with mounts all the things that are actually reasonable to buy with very reasonable prices... Gameplay Fallen earth by far has the most innovative and unique combat system known to the MMO world, in most MMO's you are faced with button mashing skills along with the very angering task of making a perfect combo skill, this is very different in this game you have many different options you may choose from, think about if you were in a post apocalyptic enviorment what would you use? A frying pan, well you can make frying pans, wood poles... the skies the limit on this game(quite literally), i should touch a little on the factions shall i? there are several factions each with 2 allies 2 enemies and 1 arch enemy, the 6 factions are "CHOTA"(Children of the Apocalypse) whom believe civilization destroyed humanity so they look to destroy civilization, "Vistas" basically nowadays (PETA) they are tree huggers and love the nature very much, i think they molest the trees.... "Enforcers" are like the paramilitary force or for those whom are familiar with Fallout they are like the NCR.. "Lightbearers" are the healers of the game, the doctors.... "Techs" as the name implies they love technology and serve under a man called "The Master"... and last but not least, I've saved the best for last the "Travelers" as the name implies they travel ALOT they have no main base or main chain of command, they are practically the mercenaries of the game.. Lets give the combat system a reach around shall we, not only can you make the coolest things youll ever think of, you are able to dual wield many of these things like dual shivs and such..
Community I am not able to stress this enough as this has blown the very fabrics of my mind, the GM's(Game Masters) of this game are very interactive, helpful and do talk like normal people and not like robots, they hold normal conversations and listen to there playerbase(less it is not trolling, they troll back) the community on this game is unlike anything i have ever came across in any type of game. And get this, they have a channel exclusively for helping other players
Graphics While i am able to rant and rave about this games graphics and completely trash the game all together because of the graphics alot of it looks completely realistic, shadows and glistening water makes everything so much better then anything. |

I am very much more concerned about the sandbox elements of this game though.. Veteran MMORPG Player |

Originally posted by assault3hro Well, it's about picking a town to do quests in, then finishing them. It's a hub-based themepark, wrapped into an open-world with many hidden features that can be rewarding if explored (even though most are places you are literally sent to via map-marker). The resource gathering is a blast, though. Crafting is meh. I would say it's kinda like Vanguard, when it comes to the TP vs SB nature. Still waiting for the combat revamp. "Censorship is never over for those who have experienced it. It is a brand on the imagination that affects the individual who has suffered it, forever." - Noam Chomsky |

Updating the launcher is bugged for me. It keeps disconnecting my internet while it updates. I contacted their tech support and I was told that I would need to tweak a bunch of stuff, shut down programs, reconfigure my router settings, etc... So...I won't be trying it again until they fix their product. |

Heres my review of Fallen Earth F2P which would be almost exactly the same as before it was F2P
Gameplay / Combat Innovative maybe, slow clunky and annoying. definitely.
Community Awesome
Graphics At launch terrible, today, very very nice.
Verdic: Bad combat mechanics make for a bad game. I just cant bring myself to touch this one again. Il give you my best analogy. You know when you go to get your cloths out of drying and every 5 feet on the walk back to the house someting drops and you have to bend down to pick it up? Thats have combat feels in this game, nothing feels smooth or percise, or exact, its all just kind of slopping around in a big bucket. Thats my experience in Fallen Earth. The combat mechanics just feel like they are constantly on the edge of not working. |

Originally posted by assault3hro Resource gathering is through hunting mobs you know drop what you need, or scouting and marking (on your map) pockets of a given resource you may need. If you need ores and geologic chems for bullets, you head to a mine that has what you need, or to an area where it lies on the ground in abundance. Then you go around and pick it up. It's fun to many, because you can get lost in it. Say you're heading from one town to another and notices a car wreck you can loot. You hop off your horse or buggy (w/e), then proceed to salvage it for a chance at one of a handfuls of materials it can give (metals, leathers, fasteners, etc). Then before you get back on your horse, you spot another one. Eventually you catch yourself running around and collecting a horde of goods and losing track of time in doing so. It's kinda zen.
~and there is no housing, but the game NEEDS it with how much open space there is to work with. There is a craft that allows you to make tents, but they can only be placed on flat areas, and are temporary... and I don't believe they are useful for storage. I never bothered with it, because it seemed like a half-assed addition to sate the types out there looking for housing, and it just doesn't suit the craving. Originally posted by GTwander Well usually housing gets added later, for the moment... I am indeed downloading the game, I take it you are a pretty decent player. Would you like to show me the ropes? And hopefully get me addicted to the game? I'd really like that.
