Having played this game for a week or so, I must say im quite impressed with it.

Me and my wife are having tons of fun and I don't think that I have played so much since the early days when we started playing in EVE in 2005.  This game is absolutely pure bliss for anyone who likes to craft and I really haven't had any problems with the sometimes mentioned "clunky" combat (I do avoid melee since I have always hated that. So there might be some issues there).

Here are some of the things I like the most:

Different kind of combat

Crafting

Community (lots of help)

Atmosphere (You can almost smell the gamma rays from the apocalypse)

Very few restrictions on free to play (might get more obvious later in the game)

Anyway that's just my personal opinion based on a very short time frame and few levels, but it's definitely worth a try.

I like it as well, I am trying to find the time to get back into it. I will say if one doesnt like crafting though its not the game for them. They didnt make it a crafters game on purpose but it sure is a good crafting game

does your game have rainbow sprinkles and magic ponies!?

And.....we just got the "Commander" subscription for my wife.  Not because there are many obvious downsides for F2P, but because this game definitely deserves a monthly sub.

I can only once again urge folks out there looking for a new mmo to try Fallen Earth.

It's really a good game made by a decent indy developer. I always think it deserved to do better than it does/did. I cant even remember why I stopped playing tbh.

No game is worth 30 dollars per month. No matter how good it is.

At one point we had 7 EVE accounts. That was 15 Euro a month/per account (Some were ofc PLEX). I think that roughly translates into 20 USD/per account.  The point is we do not play Golf or have a huge home cinema or go on expensive vacations. We like to play MMO's on our pretty much ancient pc's.

The thing is that this game might not be "worth" the 30 USD sub, but it definitely deserves the backup cash. I myself are currently thinking about getting the "Commander" sub (not that I actually need it, since my wife craft and I have no problem with going slow in terms of leveling (75% slower). So am I fanboy? Maybe for the time being, but it has been a long time since a game made me smile and actually made me feel happy about playing.

Edit* Eve is 13 Euro

It is pretty good. I pop in from time to time to look around, explore a bit. I would love to see it continue to grow.

Every MMORPG is AWESOME, until it's released!
I don't want a game, I want a WORLD!

maybe so but in a game who say its F2P but keep things like not offline craft, and limited craft in a heavy crafting game if you are not a premium is really annoying.

so unless they changed it, not see much of a reason to play, fremium games should be empty to let then die, well most games with CS should but let's start small,(wishfull thinking)

FOR HONOR, FOR FREEDOM.... and for some money.

This game is great for sure!   I will jump on just to roam around to be reminded that games dont have to be so f'ing linear and actually have some sence of exploring and covering distance....

Uh, how is this really that different from say, an mmo that has a 15$ subscription, with a free trial, and some extra mounts you can pay for if you want to donate a little more money to the devs pile of cash? I mean really? Except that the free trial is much better than the other game because it doesn't have a time limit. And there is a subscription option cheaper than 15$.

The cash shop to me sells a bit too much helpful, maybe necessary items for my taste, but if people have fun with it more power to them. The game is still good.

I played for a few months during the early days of the release but quite due to game issues which still exist but now its free , so i am back.

I linked my old account and have a crafter at about 140 skill in most trade skills. Right now he has about 61 hours worth of crafting Qued up and with the 8 hour/day crafting limit this will take about 8 days to finish. This does not bother me at all because i am playing a lower lvl toon for the time being. I really love the crafting system in this game ...best I have ever seen.

The real time crafting Que really adds a degree of stratagy to the game especially if your clan gets into pvp. You have to plan/manage your crafting Ques to supply the PvP groups with armor, weapons and ammo. I like this in the game.
