I had a bought copy w/ a couple preorder goodies, but the account it was on doesn't seem to exist. I tried resetting the password on both email addresses I would have used at the time (it's been a while, and one is dead), but the exchange keeps saying there is no account associated with either.

Is it even possible to get that stuff back? As well as my old characters?

Your old account and everything on it has been transferred over. Contact support and they should be able to sort it out.
