Heh, thats a good one!  Good point too.  I just was looking for a more team orientated pvp overall I guess.  Who knows maybe the devs will make it that way someday.

Faction is one thing, clans are another thing.  Some clans of the same faction are at war with eachother.. and rightly so.  Faction can be so loosely based as well, and mainly any team that you'd want to be in would be a clan team.  Faction against faction battles are great, and I've been in a few, but overall you make your end game.  Its not survival of the fittest.. and if you walk into a faction zone, against a same faction member that doesn't like you, yeah they can take you out for a faction penalty.

This game is pretty close in being from S1 what it is in S3.  Only real difference is the conflict towns which you don't see in S1.

I can understand where you're coming from OP... if I wasn't affiliated with some of the best clans on the server, I probably wouldn't be that excited about PvP content, as going it alone in PvP can be extremely tough if you only go on the hopes that the faction members in the conflict town will recognize you as a friendly.

PvP isn't the only thing to do at end game though, although it is the most exciting, theres still tons of items to make, places to explore, materials to find, faction to get.

My 15 day trial is almost up and I'm not renewing, not for another few months at least.

I like the game. Has a great setting, and a good community of players. I enjoy running around harvesting nodes all day in this game too for some reason, because I cannot stand it in other MMOs.

The games mechanics are a little to glitchy for me right now. Not only is it very hard to shoot things atm for me, but my machine slugs down to a whopping 1 fps in towns where there are people at. I don't have the best machine, but I can run around towns in AoC on moderate settings and not get what I get here. I do understand the devs are working to fix this issue however.

All in all, great game, with great ideas in the future. Cannot wait to come back and see how the games progressed.

P.S. rock on postapocradio!

I bought this game on release, played it for some days.

I played a lot of MMOs but this one i looked forward at AND it was the first one i quit after only 2 weeks of playing.

Cant tell you exactly what trigged me to leave, but these is one indicator for me that tells me to quit:

I started, logged in and and the moment i saw the char screen i already felt bored.

Not even needed to login.

Jury is still out for me... playing Aion and FE right now to see where it goes.  Aion seems to have the edge for me due to the amazing graphics and detail (just look at the water effects) where in FE water is just a picture on the screen that can't even be crossed!!!

So, rating for me so far with a lvl 30 FE and a level 20 on Aion.. (I know they are very different games and should not be compared but I'm working out the fun factor for my sub)

  • Graphics - Aion wins hands down
  • PVE - same- both have no imagination - both poor
  • PVP - Aion because you can duel own levels - FE you have to be top lvl before you can seriously go there
  • Crafting - FE seems more inventive but you are limited to your role - a crafter will not make a good PvP'r so you need more than 1 toon - FE wins
  • Gear/Weaps - different styles but you can't beat having a machine gun on your buggy - FE wins
  • Mobs - Aion has some amazing designs - FE a tad boring - Aion wins
  • Game stability - FE started real bad but has improved... Aion crashes my PC sometimes - everything just locks up
  • FPS - same issues with crowded areas on both games
  • Movement - Aion has limited flight and a lot of running around... FE has some great mounts with different specs - FE wins
  • Fun - hmmm... jury's still out

Just my thoughts for now... cheers
