I have always been a great proponent of innovation and sandbox elements in MMO's...sadly, i felt i missed the ship on EVE and i was thinking about trying this game or ryzom out.  Ive been skimming through threads and saw people mentioning free trial but i dont see such a thing, and thought this would be weird for a new mmo to offer.  spending 50 bucks blindly on a game like i have done too many times is not an option (WaR/AoC/Aion the latest to steal my mula) so if there was a trail/buddy key i can get i would be estatic!

Just about a week ago, multiple websites including this one were giving out free 14 day trials keys while they lasted. There was a total of 2000 keys handed out.

Here's the official announcement: Link

You can also post on the official boards (need a forum account but not a game account) and ask if anyone would be willing to give you a buddy key. Those that bought the boxed version get a couple buddy keys that they can hand out so it's worth a shot.

This sentence is false.

If $50 means you don't stop forclosure on your house, then, by all means, pay the mortgage payment.

If $50 means you, (possibly throw away $50 but still make the mortgage payment), what have you got to lose?

$50=Hundreds of hours of entertainment, or, $50=1-2 hours of regrets finding out you dont like this game.

You decide.

More like 10,000 keys handed out.  MMORPG.com had over 3,000 and there were three other sites giving away keys too.
