can anyone tell me through experience if i should buy this game through steam or through the actual fallen earth website. Are there any advantages on either. 

 nevermind i think i figured it out myself, get a couple of ingame items when you buy through their website 

 You can also buy it through D2D, and there used to be different perks through buying from the different ones, but I'm not sure if that's still true.

According to D2D, they still offer the Wasteland Runner which is a lvl 10 horse with a distinctive look. Horses are great for questing.  Also,  a great tip for horses I just learned last night. Use Fortitude on them and they will regen their stamina even quicker.

 i already bought it through the fallen earth website. I was hoping that i could play today because i have the day off lol but god damn the download is huge (4.3 gb) according to my tracker its going to take 23 hours :( oh well hopefully its wrong. 

Sounds like it's too late, but Steam was probably the best way to get FE if they still give out the Steam T-Shirt for it.  Don't know if they still do, but the t-shirt was by far the best in game item compared to the horse or ATV you got by ordering from D2D or FE.

Is that a joke? What were the stats of the t-shirt? I would much rather have a horse or ATV than a t-shirt.

steam tshirt offer is over, it gave minor bonuses to crafting skills

you can make/buy a horse or atv pretty quickly in game, so not a big deal either way.
