Glavian writes: As said many times, it's old, and the graphics may not be enchanting anymore, but the total game concept is in my opinion the best that has ever been created. RvR with a purpose, players actaully have an impact on what is happening in the world, and the ability to roleplay in this game pulls you right in. Revamp the mechanics/streamline it to be more user-friendly, update the graphics, animations, and sounds, and keep all of the core mechanics in place, tweaking only minor things such as too much grinding when crafting... I can dream, can't I? The game is stable now, though the population is low. Mythic recently merged all the servers into one cluster, so it's not too late to play - if you can stand the older graphics and clunky controls, it's a very fun game. Mon Feb 22 2010 3:28PM

As the MMOs that have come out the last years a very much disapointing more or less in parts or at whole our group decided to give Daoc (Mythic) a chance and we are very happy how it goes. Still the very best PvP-System, graphics are good enough, classes are fun, motivation is up thru the RvR and not down of some arnarchic chaos pvp. Leveling is fast, grouping is very much flexible depening on numbers and classes. We decided to play DAOC at least until SWTOR comes out and has to show its value. Pedrob writes: For an old game the graphics are much better than newer games. The PvP is still unrivaled even against current MMO's. The game gives you different wanys to PvE and you can PvP from lvl1 by joining Battlegrounds. The community is very friendly, very active in keeping raids posted and organized. With a decent computer you'll only lag during massive PvP fights and when there's stealthers around (good way to know to move away).
