Q: Will there be any issues with Camelot if I switch to the Vista OS? A: We’re working with Microsoft to make sure there aren’t any. We have not yet declared Vista an approved OS, though, because we’re not done testing. Stay tuned. Q: We were discussing the effects of bonuses and resists when it comes to crowd control. I know bonuses to skill lines like music, or pacification, don’t affect crowd control skills, but do resists affect durations? Or are they purely for outright resist purposes? A: From the Redheaded StepChild: “Spell resists never affect the outright resist rate of a spell. That is determined by several variables, including but not limited to spell level, player level and target level. What spell resists modify is the value of a spell; for example, decreasing the damage of a DD spell. In the case of CC spells, resists modify the duration of the spell.” |
