I played before, during, and after TOA and leveled an infiltrator on Percival to 50. I first logged into DAOC during its first 2 weeks of release and its by far the best mmo that I have ever played. I am a big pvp fan and Daoc is the best. However, after I got to 50, which back then took a looong time, pvp in the frontier was ridiculous because of ToA gear, which I didn't have to compete. I had some decent crafted gear but I could not compete and didnt want to raid and grind for relics and gear. So I eventually /quit. So my question is this, how is the pvp on the classic server? Do you spend alot of time raiding for l33t gear? And if I hit 50 will I be able to jump into keep raiding and be able to atleast stand my ground? Also, I remember battlegrounds like Thidranki (I think that's the name, been a loong time) the most popular? And do a lot of people play in the battlegrounds leading up to 50 and which ones are popular? Also, is it possible to completely level from 1-50 solely in the BGs? And how are the population on the classic server? Can you get into some good skirmishes at all hours in the BGs and in the frontier? |

yes thid and all of the bgs are busy. leveling in them might take for ever though. easy to grind till 50 sort of fast now. then frontiers at 50 with crafted gear and your good to go. |

classic pvp is not so gear dependant as their are many options and not too hard to get however it is VERY rp dependant. You really need to be rank 3 to remotely compete when u get to 50. BG are pretty active all the way through even the pre 24 ones which in some ways are better than thidranki zerg fest. Aim for molvik and stop off for a while there id say 8) |

Great, Im returning to DAoC as well until WAR. I'm playing on the classic clusters. If you are going classic, Im in. Do you have a guild going on a realm yet? I'm looking for some RvR action - BGs and then the keeps. I always play magic users or healers. I never liked DAoC's melee toons. |
