I only played from July until November last year until I finally quit. Tragically I had just bought 2 expansions for my account AND a new computer for my brother to play with me (spent 800 bucks on it for him =/). Unfortunately, by the time the computer parts came in from Newegg over the weekend my account time ran out and I decided to not subscribe again.

The population was too low, even on gareth. I heard too many people saying their goodbyes and knew that the game was going to die, especially when WAR is released. It was a constant stress in the back of my mind, everything I did would be gone in a couple months (thought WAR was going to be released Q1). I wish I played it back in the day, it is a gaming regret that I will always have. I also wish I wasn't so stubborn and illogical sometimes, I invested quite a bit into DAoC and then dropped it randomly but I can't go back now.

DAoC was my first MMO and it was awesome. I played the game for over 4 years. I started at release.  The Realm vs Realm combat in the game was unique.  For those that missed out I do feel sorry for as it was a great time.

WAR sucks, but DAoC sucks more. Mythic should give up on the crappy Realm v Realm games, and make a real PvP game. WAR sucks more than DAoC in RvR because there are only 2 sides. DAoC sucks more than WAR in balance because Mythic had no clue on how to balance classes back then. They went really carebear with their game design in WAR, and for that they will not get a subscription from me. I did buy the pre-order to get into Open Beta, but have already uninstalled it. What a colossal waste of time and bandwidth.

the gameplay is quite good,created an account but i just played for like couple of days,it got me all bored.good game i agree,but the population sucks.
