Proving grounds will be great.  The only true balanced RvR.  This will be fun.

I know this is probably going to be an unpopular opinion but I sincerely hope they don't introduce those battle grounds onto live servers.

I have a few reasons for this, 1) it is going to thin out the people that go to each BG. While a few more BGs won't hurt much and may actually help younger characters get excited about RvR and want to try harder to advance, this many Battle Grounds is going to spread the population for each BG so thin that they are going to turn into ghost zones(much like BG 0 is on most servers). 2) This many characters leaving to go fight in the BGs is going to make getting an Xp group almost impossible since everyone can just go fight in the BGs. 3) It just kind of takes away from the achievement of getting powerful enough to fight for your realm and the importance of leveling. If Mythic would remove /level form lv 50 toons accounts, I'd might be more accepting of this idea for the BGs,but right now I cant really say that I am.

Which brings me to another point, I think Mythic, since it is one of the main stream MMORPGs, should invest in a little Mass-media advertisement in order to boost its popularity and bring more players into the community. Then these things they are doing for the lower level parts of the game that need high player volume in order to operate correctly will be able to.

I think on smaller servers the grouping issue might be a problem.  I am not convinced that the more BGs will thin out the population in all the BGs. 

The BG1 (20 to 24) will be busy due to the /level feature.  The BG2 (25 to 29) will still be a ghost town.  BG3 will decrease in population but should be ok.  I think some people will build alts for BG3 only.  The populations might split from BG3 to BG3 and BG4 with the new BG4.  BG4 will be busy because of all the level 35 alts that have to level to 39 for BG4 (the majority of players seem to level to the max level). BG4 will also attract more players to RvR.  The players will be the  players who leveled passed the BGs.  BG5 will bring in the players who don’t want to go to emain and also reactivate some toons whom people have quit playing because of the grind.

I think the grind to 50 might be slowed up and people will break the grind up with some BG action.  I heard the XP rate is high and person can level pretty fast from RvR, hard to say if this will hold when it goes live.  A person leveled a level 14 or 15 toon after 7 RvR kills in a BG, I think.

The BGs will not be liked by PvE players and changes the game for DAOC.  A person does not have to decide at level 35, do I do the grind to 50 to be back in RvR (with some doubts about being competitive without the ML and artifact grind) or do I roll an alt and grind back to 24 or 34 for BG action.  Now they can keep investing in their toon to level it for the next BG.

I have level 36 toon which I might start playing again in the new BGs.  I have no desire to grind it to 50.  Now I have options.

Lastly, Mythic does need to advertise more.  Agree 100%.

I think the numerous BGs are a great idea.  It ticks me off to no end that I have to spec one way for PvE and another for RvR.  Now we can play RvR and spec RvR.

My problem with battlegrounds is they should not be the end game. which they are becoming. I have 3 50's and do a fiar amount of RVR, nothing major and certainly not near the top of RP held or even close. I like it as a diversion to pve.

I enjoy the battlegrounds a lot. more so then I do RVR. Thid was a blast on my hunter.

Here in lies my problem. I dont pay 50.00 and 12.95 a month to play a level 24 char. Why would I want to let my hunter get past 24. indeed pple purposely suiside to remove exp from their bar so they can stay there longer then they should. Why? because RVR really sucks in this game.

BG's should be a nice little diversion, a something neato, and I got RR2 or 3 to aid in leveling to 50 so you can help defend your realm. No one wants to defend anymore. what with tanks worthless now. archers exploding on the scene. range advantage to the albs. all the relics to the albs, why would I want to go out and hand my RPs to an alb or hibbie. as soon as I attack an alb keep. not only does half their realm port to that keep or near by and run. here comes the damn hibbies up my back side. now I have 2 fronts to battle.

Bgs are becoming the end game for most pple that have not already just /cancelled. thats not what I bought it for, sure its fun and a good time was had by all. but is Thid what you bought the game for. to say "alright, I am 24, I own the game now." If so, enjoy, soon it will be you and a bunch of albs playing in Thid. but thats not what I bought the game for....
