Dark Age of Camelot is the deluxe MMORPG from Mythic Entertainment, and is set ten years after the death of the fabled King Arthur of Camelot. Sensing that the once great city is gradually weakening, the enemies of Albion, such as the barbarous Norse from Midgard and the magical Celts from Hibernia, have set their sights on finally crushing the city and destroying King Arthur’s realm once and for all.
DAoC pioneered large-scale Realm vs Realm combat, while still having the usual expected MMORPG features such as PvE, questing, a large variety of races and classes, player and guild housing, a quality combat system, mounts, pets, and all based on excellent lore. Former players whose accounts have been inactive for a minimum of sixty days are being invited back to Dark Age of Camelot during the "Come Back to Camelot" campaign. The best news is that the campaign features thirty days for free!
Dark Age of Camelot is welcoming its players to the annual Easter event in which the deceptively cuddly Harbinger of Spring arrives to wreak havoc on the land. Players taking him down will receive the Gem of the Harbinger. The Rites of Spring quest is available in several locations, depending on faction alignment.
The Dark Age of Camelot site has been updated with a new post laying out the first details of a new campaign called "A Dragon's Curse (Chapter 1)". The new content sends players into a variety of locations and includes new open-world dungeons in all three realms. In addition, dungeoneers will score Aurulite that can be spent at special vendors inside the dungeons.
The next update notes for Dark Age of Camelot will be published later today, but the team wanted to give players a forward look at the fully revamped Necromancer. To do so, a new video has been posted that gives information about the three basic shapeshifts, each with its own set of unique abilities.
The Dark Age of Camelot team and community have a lot to celebrate with the game's fifteen anniversary. It's so big, in fact, that the party needs an entire month -- October, to be exact -- in order to fit it all in.
