  • Open Beta to Kick Off on July 16th

    Obsidian Entertainment, the Allods team and have announced that the Skyforge open beta will begin on Thursday, July 16th. Players logging in during the first week of OBT will earn a free Mechanic Costume that will be rewarded after July 24th. The team also promises regular updates and added features as the OBT progresses. Check out the announcement trailer below.

  • Fourth and Final CBT Begins and Obsidian Entertainment have announced that the fourth and final closed beta test for Skyforge has officially begun. The test is scheduled to run through Monday, June 29th. Players will have the opportunity to check out the Knight and Alchemist classes during the event.

  • The Kinetic Class Revealed and Obsidian Entertainment have revealed the latest playable class for Skyforge. This time, the Kinetic takes center stage. Kinetics are ranged damage dealers with a high mobility rate. They can deal high amounts of damage or control the battlefield with powerful AoE attacks or controlling effects.

    The Skyforge site has been updated with a new interactive panorama that features a look at the Veines zone. Similar to Google Street View, users can move the camera around a static point on the ground to get a look at the area.

  • Anomalies - High End Adventure

    The latest Skyforge developer diary has been published that details anomalies, high level adventures for up to five players. Each player will need to be a god, though not necessarily in a Pantheon. Party assembly can happen in a place called Tessa's Sanctuary where teleportation to an anomaly happens.

  • Friday's Live Stream to Feature the Necromancer

    During this Friday's broadcast, the Skyforge team will be taking the opportunity to show off the next playable class in the roster, the Necromancer. During the event, Community Manager Michael "Spunky" Dunaway and other members of the team will be taking on the Daren Facility as part of the Necro showcase to show off its power against the undead.

  • Distortions Add Another Dimension to Endgame Play

    The Skyforge site has been updated with a new developer blog to lay out another component of end game play. Called "Distortions", these special events become available after players have unlocked their divine forms and if Pantheons have access to a special piece of equipment called an Analyzer. Using the Analyzer on the tactical globe in the Divine Observatory, groups will be able to see special distortions marked on the map.

  • Unlimited Buy Up for Character Progression Slowed by Caps

    The Skyforge team has taken to the official blog to lay out some of the underlying philosophy behind the game's monetization. Of most particular note is the inclusion of weekly caps on certain progression "currency" that should allay fears that characters can "buy their way" up to level cap. In addition, while players can accelerate their progress, they gain no advantage over others of a similar level.
