CD Projekt Red's Marcin Iwinski said that "it wouldn't be fair towards the fans" not to make a fourth game in the Witcher series. "We work within this universe for over a dozen years now and I don't think it's going to be the end of it." Iwinski was speaking on Polish TV with the translation provided by Gamepressure.
Speaking about when The Witcher 4 might happen, Iwinski also said:
"It deserves some rest," Iwinski said about The Witcher series in August. "The world of The Witcher is gigantic and it's great to tell these stories, but I don't know when [a sequel] will happen."
