Hey i just finished downloading AO and so i extract all the files. Then i go to the install thing and when it starts it asks for disk1. Well i dled this off the net so i do not have a disk! Can anyone please help me?

Find the extracted folder with Anarchy and it should be there.

Dude i know, i go to the extracted folder and go to install. Then i go to the i agree thing and it starts the install then like 1 second later it says insert disk 1.

When you extract it, it extracts into different folders with the disk as the name. Just indicate it to the correct folder which was extracted.

am set up for a monthly billing cycle. Will I be charged?
 
No, all accounts created using this trial offer are free until January 
of 2006. The billing cycle is what your account is set up for, once the 
free period expires. If your account says you are on a monthly billing 
cycle, which means you will be charged for a month of service, 
beginning in January of 2006. If you have not entered any billing information 
your account will simply be frozen at the end of the trial.
 
Can this offer be used with an older, cancelled account?
 
No, unfortunately not. The free AO promotion cannot be used with 
pre-existing accounts. You must create a new account in order to take 
advantage of the offer. 
 
How do I cancel my account?
 
To cancel your account, simply click on the Account button on the Log 
In page and then click Cancel at your account page. If you cancelled 
successfully, you will receive a confirmation email. You can also access 
the account page from https://register.funcom.com.
 
Note: Hotmail users cannot access the page properly through a Hotmail 
window.
 

I received no game key upon set up.
 
When creating an account you do not receive a game key. The key is 
automatically attached to the account for you. Upon completion of the 
account set up, all you need to do is log into the game.
 
Can I upgrade the free account with the AO expansions?
 
Yes, you may upgrade the free account at any time. However, once you 
upgrade your account with any of the three expansions, the free promotion 
will end and your account will be charged as though it was a normal 
account. The charges will immediately be applied to the account.
 
Please be careful when upgrading accounts. If you accidentally upgrade 
a free account, we will NOT reimburse the charge or revert the account 
back to free status.
 
When trying to create a character, it won’t let me choose a name or 
finish character creation. What is wrong?
 
This is most likely the result of having a firewall running. If you 
currently have a firewall up you will need to either disable it, or make 
sure the following ports are open:
 
80 7012 7013 7500-7504
 
You can open the ports from the firewall options menu.
 
I keep getting a “Could not find valid dimension” error when trying to 
log in.
 
Possible firewall issue. Please refer to previous solution.
 
Am I able to access the forums with me free AO trial?
 
Yes, all new players have access to our forums and can read the posts. 
However, access has been limited to read only. Only paid AO accounts 
are given access for posting. If you need to post a question or comment,

There are a couple of reasons you may be experiencing this problem. The 
most common is browser security. Check and make sure that your web 
browser security is not set to HIGH and also make sure that you have 
cookies enabled. 
 
Also, it is not possible to create an account if you try doing so 
through an open Hotmail window. You cannot access and change account 
information through an open Hotmail email because of how they configure their 
system. Please access the account directly from your browser or the log 
in screen and then perform the action. It will work then. Sorry for the 
confusion.

If you are trying enter the game and the handler is giving you an error 
message about processing your character log in, then more than likely 
it is a traffic issue. Occasionally the log-in server will get 
overwhelmed due to heavy traffic. If this happens, simply log out, wait a few 
minutes, and then try and log in again.
 
The game never seems to stop patching.
 
If your game continues to patch even after your client has reached the 
current version, what you need to do is delete the Patch Folder and 
then run the aorepair.exe program (link below). After that, simply restart 
patching.
