Im not kidding but you really have to use atleast like 50 buttons at the same time to get it moving forward. Its too hard to move ingame, id suggest to make it easier. *ph33r* |

Hard? the buttons are hard? nope...they're pretty easy, once you get used to it, you hardly notice they're there. Is set up my own littl way of doing things, i opened the mini-toolbar, and I normally leave the NCU thing up and all the programs I have, and sometimes the PF map. It helpps , not too many controls, just enough.

Maybe im spoiled by WOW and COH, but after waiting for the long download and updates- I tried Anarchy for about 30 minutes and got so frustrated with the controls- I logged off and deleted the entire thing from my computer. I dont know how you guys get used to this game .... guess ill stick to the games with interfaces that were developed by professionals.

Whoa. Don't you realize AO was made before WoW and CoH? That WoW and CoH, like many other games, are based on the games before them? They used what works and drop what doesn't. AO was made by professionals. Just because you had problems with the interface doesn't mean they weren't professionals, don't be so arrogant. I've played WoW and CoH, and I currently subscribe to CoV exclusively. I greatly prefer the interface in CoH/V to that of any other game. AO used to have a different interface entirely, and most people thought it was an easy to handle interface. I don't know why they changed it around Notum Wars expansion (I think?) but it's not a terrible interface.. it just takes time and patience to get used to it. -Niksa Looking for a real game. |

WOW a bit harsh there. I agree the movement controls are different than MMO today. But you have to keep in mind when this game was made. The team who design this game where professionals. Granted this game is not up to the current market of MMO “Graphics and the camera” But this game is by far one of the best Sci-fi MMO on the current market. |

This is a joke post right? unless you have stumps for fingers i see no reason why movement should pose any particular difficulties...I picked it up just as quickly as any mmo i have ever played, that is about five minutes, it's hardly point and click.

To be honest, I consider it really sad that people think the movement controls are actually "hard to use" in Anarchy Online. Groovy. |

It would be nice and take very little for them to make the controls map-able. Think about how much easier it would be if you could call out your own control scheme rather than getting use to theirs. 1 |

WASD to move, there's nothing complicated about it. The graphics are actually being pushed from DX7 to DX9 fairly soon and then DX10 after that, the game will look gorgeous. http://youtube.com/watch?v=xkWhMKXJpM4 I'm holding off of really trying to get into it until then because right now it's absolutely hideous but when that update is launched I'll be ready to go. |

this is why i love anarchy...wow players cant figure out the wasd and fps controls so they flip out and quit after a few minuets..very funny...how hard is it to grasp...really and if they do grasp this concept then surely twinking, implants, and no level locked equipment (well some but not a lot) will surely cause the mind of a long term wow player burst. wtf you actually have to think... and thats not counting the (small) learning curve of distributing thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousand skill points among what like 50 diffrent skills so that you dont raise a stat gimp..nevermind the fact that you can reset single skills or all your skills a limited amount of time. this game requires a decent amount of reading forum guides, and a decent amount o in game help...lucky for you forum guides are plentiful and detailed, and in game help is easy to find and you wont get flamed for asking. Its not a game where you can just start a character and start grinding to level cap and worry about learning how to play at end game, no sir this isnt wow. i just love a complex game |

Did you all happen to notice that those complaining about the control scheme for AO posted over two years ago right? You're dissing people who haven't been here in two years. |
