Right now I am a level 9 fixer and I'm neuatral, but I was wondering which side I should join, clan or omni. Also I was wondering what are the merits and demerits of each are. Anyway I play on server one, and my name is Blinxer.::::01::

Theres no one side with better equipment. What exists for omni, will have its clan counterpart. It really boils down to the individual when it comes to side. Omni is the prevailing(population wise) faction on AO. But, clans seems to have their act together better. Whichever side you decide to choose, you'll still be paying thru the teeth for buffs. On Atlantean server, you will probably pay twice the price for the same item offered on the German server.

I recommend following this link http://www.anarchy-online.com/content/community/becometester/  join the testlive community. There is NO economy there. People actually go out of their way to help you. And the ARK Bug Hunters are almost always on the server, assisting players.

Hope this eases your transition into the war, fencesitter.

By the way, look up Sand on Testlive should you decide to go that route.

Stay Neutral and get a good feel of game before deciding.. i say stay Neut till 50ish.. although with the many items out there. just being Neut is ok..  in fact to go over 200 all u have to do is kill brink mobs and not farm faction..  u have access to all the gardens which is super cool.. its like a grid system for SL)

oh and btw do not try test as a new player.. less ppl to help you unless your patient and/or a serious AO fanboi who likes to kiss ARK ass alot and say whitty things to try to get in the Cliques that call themselves ORgs on test.

I VALIDATE YOU ALL

Being neutral from the start isnt recommended, hardly any people are/stay neutral. Also there are some sided item quests that can be fun & usefull as a totally new player.

(The sided neck pad is one item that is a must, its the single item in the game that gives great bonuses with almost no effort (until higher levels)).

hmm how do you get the sided neck pad. Is it a mission anyone can do, or do I have to join a side?

you have to be either clan or omni to wear the neck item. About the only Rubi-Ka sided thing a noot can wear is the shoulderpads quest. which you wont be doing for quite awhile. You are awarded mission tokens for completing missions, which determine which neck item you can wear.

Professional Lowbie

I myself would prefer Omni, dont know why. Maybe because Omni has big blue skyscrapers  and is situated more in a city type enviorment. I tried clan for a day... it looked like a village with a desert storm going on.

In my humble opionion, go Clan.  I have tried both and in West Athens, a Clan controlled area, the people are more down to earth, and giving, and friendly, and quicker to help than in Rome.  In Rome, the peolple who are higher levels than you, (everyone else if you are just starting out...a noob)  and the people are more quick to temper than and less to give you donations of money\items and They won't be as quick to help you with problems.  I havent gone True Neutral yet, but having only neutral experiences with them, it sounds like they just dont need or want anything from anybody, so if you want to go that route and go solo I guess, then stay neutral.  This is my opionion, Deal with it.

Dont listen to that clan propaganda !!!! Omni will triumph over the clans.

If you want to be a beggar be clan.  Omni people dont need to beg.  We believe in the power of money !!!  Omni has lower prices and MED SUITS !!!
