What I don't get is that in a sci-fi game people have to shout their shopping offers like they are in the middle ages. I know there are playershops, but you have to be in an org to use it. AO has already used concepts from WoW: mousewheel zoom, rightclick p.o.v. and now when I logged in they use the same setup for chat: default and combat tab.
AO was made partially free to play because of lacking playerbase, if it hadn't it would probably be dead today. If you want new players to stay, at least let them not have to spam WTS / WTB in a trade chat. The good thing about playershops is that you can do other things while the shop show others what you offer.
At least for froobs, make it so that they can put their offer on a list, like the Team search thing. They might still have to meet the guy that sells/buys to actually get the item, but at least you don't have to spam stuff. |
