so ive played AO for 12+ months back in the day.. and I wanna restart playing it again.. I downloaded the AO game (full version) and im playing as a froob till they get the new graphics engine in the game.. but... well.. I remember the game looking better back in the day.. is it the froob client thats giving me low graphics or are my memorys of the game better then what the game really is? ... everyones faces look blurry but my textures are set to max.. im gonna play around with it.. but really.. is the P2P version of the game look the same as the F2P version?..

Mostly likely your memories. The graphics might have been cutting edge back in the day, but looking at compared to even older games such as eq2, (which is, notably, not "that" old), AO looks rather dated.
*edit* proper comma usage ftw |

Make sure that before you log into the game, at the log-in screen, in settings that you are on the right drivers. I'd go with the standard 3d one. I had the same issue. I went with my card drivers andit made the date graphics look even MORE HORRIBLE. I went wit the crappy, old school drivers on the drop down list and all is well. I can't wait for the graphics engine overhaul, but we'll see when it actually comes out. |

Lies and shitty CS sometimes come to bite companies in the ass, FC seems to be learning that :P |

Very true. On a side note, they've apparently dropped The Secret World from the Funcom website. Makes ya wonder. |

Naw, TSW just went 'Secret' for a while again, as it was for some time. Financially, they are rolling in money from AoC subscriptions for the time being. Their stock is the same place it was a year ago, which is to be expected since it didn't immediately dethrown WoW. |

No, when you are supposedly rolling in money from new subscriptions, your stocks do not go back to what they were a year before. AoC has hurt Funcom. And the pain will continue to grow, for how long who knows. |

No, stocks pretty much -always- settle right back down if you are not immediately making better returns on investment than your biggest competitor in that sector. Most of that money poured into FC stock at AoC startup was by investors who move their money week to week, looking for fast gains and who probably think Conan's last name is O'Brien. |

No sense in us arguing the point back and forth, already plenty of threads on this in AoC section. The telling thing will be Funcoms' next financial report. I think there's going to be some substantial losses reported in that one, but that's just my opinion. |

funcoms stocks should have held some sort of boost to there value after the game of the month fever AOC seemed to get but the current stock values reflect no from the game, its as if AOC never existed. Regarding the graphics update. I'm looking forward to seeing it in action and do hope they do something with the animations as well. It would be wise for funcom to stay on shedule with the AO update it used to be the number 1 scifi mmo out there and may still get some of that glory back. I can see AO getting a brave few new players when it gets released |
