Hi, I am thinking in trying AO due to the lack of any game that suits me. My question is, since the game went F2P, did funcom open any new server? In any case, which one would you recommend me to choose? thanks a lot |

Basically, the really hardcore players are on RK1 [Atlantean]. While nice folks at heart, these are mostly veteran players and you may have some trouble finding help as a newbie.
If you're just looking to play and have fun with a nice, friendly bunch go to RK2 [Rimor].
RK3 is also a nice server, however it is for the German community. So, unless you speak/type German, pick from RK1/RK2. |

The addition of F2P didn't spawn any new servers, fr00bs mix it up with everyone on the original servers. The game defaults to pointing starters to whichever server they think needs more ppl atm but both are about equally filled (RK1-Atlantean or Rk2-Rimor). Rimor is sometimes referred to as the 'carebear' server and Atlantean the hardcore one but they are almost the same in player types. Hop to the German server if you want an even more casual environment. |
