Hello Anarchy Fans

I've got level 50 Soldier..I learnt many stuff through it. Since the android and other stronger robots are appealing to me, I've decided to create an engineer. But I need some help in here..Engineer is rather difficult profession to play.I don't want to make any mistake about my necessary skills. So I'd be grateful if experienced engineers will post their advices in here

Actually I think an Engi is not that hard to play.  The main thing to do is increase your time& space and Matter metam or Matter Create I forgot which,EVERY time you can.  This will allow you to always have a very strong bot.  I have played an engi up to level 150 or so. 

If you do this in the early levels you can do missions 5 or 6 levels above you level.  If you dont like missions then I would suggest you find a good group.

I have known engis who get a mission tell their bot to hunt and sit at the first room in a mission and wait for their bots to complete the mission.

In my experience however engi's are not good at PVP.  They root your bot then you are easily killed.

However an Engi is a fun class and you can make some fine armor and weapons.

Also I dont know if its changed but in the shadowlands it seemed the pathing for a bot was not that good.

Also, the bots dont taunt very much.  They stand their next to the enemy poised to attack and it takes like 5mins for them to execute one attack and by that time already dead.  But problems can be solved., you can build some sort of aggressive trimmer so you can use it on your bot to ake him more aggeesive and just attack but the changes might be permenant, i havent tried it yet, built iyet, tried it no.  Engis are a fun class to play, fun bots, solar-powered tinker\mender pistols are awesome and nuilding anything you need is pretty cool too.  Go for it my friend

As an engie you will need the best implants & beg/pay for "mochies" from the mp:s.
The aggro/offensive trimmer is the only usefull one (each ql = 1 on offence/defence slider), it lasts until the bot dies (sometimes when you zone its gone but that bug might be fixed).

Btw all pet classes suffer if server is lagging (pet wanders off / doesnt attack / acts braindead).

Yea, also there is a solution for the unaggressiveness for the bots, you can make something, but it donest work that well....I made one, and the QL was like 20-30 or something, and my bot was higher, so make sure you make a device that is around the same QL as your bot.  I should do that to, and get some bot heals, they are damn helpful...wish I had some... Heh good luck.

Thank you, I wanted to make sure how long trimmer affect lasts. I targeted my pet, and use trimmer by clicking on right click + shift. I get the message says "The robot jerks" and it consumes some nano from my nano pool. It says "it's permanent" in its description. I really wanted to make sure it lasted until the bot dies.. Thank you

ForeverDawn, I sent a message to you..My Engineer is Onapolas in the game..Luckily, I got a bot heal nano yesterday as a mission award..I was looking for Quick Fix, but found "Patchy Repairs"

It's really a pain to make armor, weapons and especially nano crystals, as I can hardly find materials that are around same level, I can't find all materials to finish recipe though.It's somewhat frustrating :(

I also found its instruction disc (Patchy Repairs) and I made it. I added your nick (ForeverDawn) to my friend list, kept it in my inventory and waited you to be online, but you ddn't turn up. So I sold it to another engineer who needed it urgently..But if I find another one either as mission award or as an instruction disc, it will belong certainly to you. Tell me which of your characters do you play the most? (Erm, sorry for this sentence, it looks somewhat wrong)

By the way, I did make many nanos, implants. It isn't as hard as I complained before. Now it's time to make armour and weapons. Enginner is really funny class!

The Engineer is fun...at first, but can get a little frustrating later on. Pretty much follow what the others have said, increats your Time&Space, Matter Meta, and Matter Creation skills as much as possible. Always get the highest level of implants you can use, and get the TS, MM, and MC buffs to give you an extra 20 in those skills. That REALLY helps in the beginning (up to probably about lvl 60) and allows you to have a bot that's ~5-10 levels higher then you if you have the best implants for your level.

Biggest drawback of the Engineer is it is VERY unlikely that you'll be able to create anything for yourself, at least until you get pretty high in level. At level 50 you will NOT be able to easily make for example nano crystals that are around your level. It is possible, but only if you invest pretty much all you IP into the trade skills needed. Making nano crystals involves almost every single one of those skills. Because you have to use all your IP for trade skills, every one of your other skills will suffer. Not worth it in my opinion until you get pretty high in level and can afford spending IP on trade skills.

Best way to play, and live when soloing, is to have your pet do all the work. Stand next to doors without actualy going in and tell your pet to attack anyone inside. That works faster then telling it to hunt and wait around for it to get done, plus it's less boring to move around a little instead of just sit down and wait.

I dont know what bot you had but it wasn't a very good one . My bot was a superb (full of bugs) bot. He walked through walls killed the enemies and warped back. And i didn't have to use a nanocrystal to warp
