who think that if i was try more i was loved it?

AO isn't a game where you can play for 3 weeks and even hope to begin to fully enjoy the game. I can't say whether or not you should give it another try. But even after years of playing I've still haven't did everything.

I've been playing 4 1/2 years and the developers have, of late, been adding new content faster than I can fully absorb it.  If Funcom were to make AO for the first time now, it would not be a fraction as deep and complex as it is - they would have to make the game mechanics at least as simple and simplistic as WoW's to even get a look.  Fortunately, the legacy code keeps them from dumbing it down to modern MMO standards.

If you are starting out now, best thing is to join a -knowledgeable- guild (Org) so someone can show you the ropes.

I played it for couple years. It takes realy long time to get in as game world is huge and game mechanics very complex. Some has played for long even with free game, but real depth is with payed content...

From what I see of AoC it is realy simplistic system as modern MMORPG, apart from combat system likely AO would be like it and then it wouldn't be so good game...

2.5 years, i can tell you 3 weeks, you've seen about 2% of what the game has to offer.

Been playing off and on since beta, so probably all together 5 out of the soon-to-be seven years the game has been around. And I still have to ask questions about things I've never seen or done before.

I can't say give it more time and you'll love it, because everyone is different. But if you're willing to try it a bit more before giving up completely, I don't think it would be a waste of time doing so.

Been playing a year, and finally broke 200 with my main Character. But, of late been trying a few other games to break up the status quo, though, am looiking forward to the new graphic engine, and, hope it goes well.

This is perhaps best MMORPG i have played so far, complexity, gamemechanics and so on are just on the spot what I enjoy but sadly when I played I kinda got annoyed of bugs it had, so I was 'forced' to quit, now waiting anxiously new graphic engine patch to get back on game which has developed from Hecklerkite to full and mature MMORPG. :) Been testing new expansions and it seems really nice, love what they did to SL quests to gain experience, no more feeling of miner. But because of old graphic engine, it still had same issues to run smoothly.

Played few years and been buying 1month when bored to test hows it developed. Only game with EVE Online which I have bought more than 1 account.

3 years, of which 2 paid... was still learning stuff after all those hours i played the game

and yes they have been adding content faster than u can absorb, thats what turned me off a bit if i would play different toons my main would suck if i didnt keep him up to date. in the end i played thousands of hours and i just wanted something else.. havent succeeded in finding something different to sink time in.. i played a f2p mmo and that just plain sucked when u get tired of the endless grind
