On the Microsoft site for AC2 they will be making a huge adjustment to several of the servers in the upcoming August patch.  Seven of the servers will be merged into two.  You don't have to worry about losing any of your stats,  characters or items as all characters will be moved over.  If you have additional characters on a singer server,  you also don't have anything to worry about for the 60-day transitional period. The other two current US servers--the recently merged coldeve-snowreap world and the player vs. player server darktide--will be untouched by the move for the time being, but Microsoft noted that the darktide population is low enough that the server may be decommissioned.
