I  know that it is a "normal" ruleset, but what does that mean for PvP?  You can still flag yourself red and PvP with other red players..how about certain zones, are there open PvP zones?

What is the PvP loot system like, is it the same as AC1 (Death Items, etc)?

You can flag yourself for pvp and kill flagged people. You can pvp in the pvp zones

when you die you get vitae penality which is awsome. And if u you keep dying you end up needing to go pve since your max hp is 60 % of its max.

you dont lose item on death and the classes are very fun and you can make unique builds and wierd builds that could possibly be good.

Some classes are gimped for pvp tho but you can switch classes by untraining your skills which can either be painful or expensive

its a good game overall if you like the old school games. Pve is group grind mostly and sometimes the good spots are in pvp zones

There's no flagging actually. PvP is limited to pvp areas. Some areas are Free-for-all, like the Prosper free for all ring, but most pvp areas are actually Kingdom vs. Kingdom areas. KvK areas are only pvp areas for those who are aligned to one of the three kingdoms (Order, Shadow or Dominion).

If I recall correctly, neutral players were left out of pvp completely except for FFA areas.

Some of the better leveling areas on "Hero Island" are the KvK islands. There are three islands, each devoted to one kingdom. There's also a fort on each of sorts, where the lifestone is at (which you can only bind to if you are aligned to the same kingdom as the area), and there's portals from the stronghold instances for each kingdom. There was some decent pvp in those areas....and awesome xps to be had.
