League of Legends' Jinx Joins Fortnite As Riot Brings Its Games To Epic Games Store

Jinx, one of the most iconic champions from Riot's League of Legends, has made her way into Fortnite thanks to a new collaboration with Epic Games. Riot is also celebrating the release of its upcoming animated series Arcane by releasing multiple titles on the Epic Games Store, including the insanely popular League of Legends proper as well as a few others.

If you like Fortnite and by reading this news release, we suspect that you might, then you may be happy to hear that Epic Games is launching a new subscription offering, Fortnite Crew that will provide "can't miss" content for only $11.99 a month.


Fortnite - Creative Announcement

As we learned early this morning, Fortnite players will soon be able to unleash their artistic sides with the new Creative mode that allows Battle Pass owners to have "access to a private island for the first week of Season 7, technically an "early access" phase. Starting December 13th, all players will have access as part of this free update.

A new defensive has been thrown into Fortnite thanks to the arrival of the Port-a-Fortress, a new, but rare, item that allows players to hurl it at the ground to "create a massive fortress to defend against and repel enemies". Port-a-Fortress items are considered a Legendary item that can be dropped from vending machines, chests, supply llamas or supply drops. They are feature complete, even with Bouncers that will toss players straight to the top for epic battle.

Fortnite players have a new Limited Time Mode to try out called Getaway. In a sense, it's a capture the flag-type mode. Several supply drops are scattered around the island. Each contains a large jewel. Players have to open a safe, pick it up (along with anything else nearby) and find a van to escape. "The first four teams to make their way to a van with a jewel and escape, win!" Of course, there are always those other pesky players trying to stop that...


Latest Update Lets You Take Your Rift on the Go

The latest Fortnite update has been deployed, this time bringing the "Rift-to-Go" item into the Battle Royale side of the game that, as the name implies, allows players to carry an item that will instantly create a rift for themselves or allies. That doesn't mean it's a safe harbor: Enemies can also jump in, so be wary where it's dropped!


Samsung Galaxy Exclusive Beta Event Begins

Epic Games has announced that Samsung Galaxy owners can get started playing the Fortnite Android beta beginning today. Additionally, those who purchase the Samsung Note 9 or the Galaxy Tab S4 will also receive an exclusive outfit. Other Android devices will be added over the coming days and interested parties are invited to head to the Fortnite site to sign up.


Playground Limited Time Mode Returns - Build a City in an Hour

As part of this week's Fortnite update, the Playground limited time mode has made a return after briefly appearing and disappearing late last week. In Playground mode, up to four players can practice building and game tactics. One intrepid group even built a city in just over an hour.
