Nova Crystallis has posted a nice summary of the most recent Live Letter from the producer for Final Fantasy XIV. During the event developers revealed that the first part of The Far Edge of Fate (v3.5) will be released in January 2017 and part 2 in March 2017.
The Far Edge of Fate will contain a number of interesting components:
- New Scenario quests - main, Warring Triad, Saint Endalim's Scholasticate and new Hildibrand quests
- Two new dungeons, new Alliance Raid and new Trial
- New NPC who offers crafting and gathering quests
- Forthcoming Exploratory Missions overhaul that will be released at a later point
- Cross-world Party Finder ability
- PvP Update
- Much more
