Then again people have said that LOTRO would fail before launch because it was mislabeled by the public as a "wow-clone". LOTRO is still strong and doing well (and not at all "cloney" <-- trademarking this). I have hopes for this game wich I feel is long over-due, I am more concerned about the timing. I think it would be bad for both this game and the new star wars to be released around the same time :/ |

Well, if you don't mind going back Old School, you can always install Ultima Online and join a free to play server. There is a decent list of them at www.runuo.com or the server (shard) I prefer is www.uosecondage.com. This is a great server that is set back when UO was just 1 facet, no carebearing here! |

Although I haven't played DDO in about 3 years, I know that when I did it was a very fun game at the time. I played a Cleric so finding a party was never an issue. The one downside (once again, at that time) was that you seemed to do a lot of the same quests / instances over and over. I dont mean multiple quests similar to it like LOTRO and WoW (I mean, how many pigs can 1 man kill??!?), I mean the same quest :) If it has changed since then please let us know! I may even give it another shot. |

Lord of the Rings Online is another option as well. You can go straight mage with the Lore Master class or try something a bit different with the Rune-Keeper class. Head on over to lotro.com and check them out! |

Just one question... The same question on everyone's mind by now.... Will this game EVER come out? |

Simple. Ganking is when a player takes advantage of you being engaged with another mob/item/etc where you dont have a chance to respond. Griefing is when a player much stronger or a group of players kill you, and often times kill you repeatedly via spawn camping (or for you old UO playersm city camping :). I was a griefer in my UO and AC days, but never a ganker. I do have some ethical codes after all. Ganking can also be used in this case: You are getting ready to kill a mob for whatever reason and someone runs in and kills it ahead of you, you have just been Ganked. |
