EA BioWare is talking about population/transfers/merges
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 4/16/12 8:50:37 PM
I suppose populations on servers are dependent on which you pick. The one Im on is VERY busy and still growing. However I suspect that has to do with server imblanaces and people gravitating towards servers that have good and established populations. |

Dont have a level 50? Drop sub for a month.
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 4/12/12 7:41:31 PM
Doesn't matter to me. Im glad they reward there faithful customers. Always more goodies at a later time. Oh a note on the engine, they used portions of several engines. Unfortunately when you mix and match it can be difficult to master a games development early on. |

Unfortunately Id agree, Eve is the only really triple A sandbox. As far as land based sandboxes.. I can't think of any big ones out there right now worth your time. |

It's just a MMO Role Playing Game...

Roleplaying is definitely not dead. Thats the joy of RP, you just have to find the right people. |

Why would anyone play an MMO in which the world is empty?
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 3/21/12 12:52:14 AM
I play on one of the more populated servers and I haven't seen a planet at the prime times I play below 70 before. The game offers so much RP its scary. I have a hard time walking 10 minutes without having someone stop and talk to me. Rather refreshing for a change. I don't thing its the game persay, so much as the genre and fans which populate it. |

Why Im going to enjoy watching SWTOR circle the drain
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 3/18/12 1:51:46 AM
I honestly don't see this game going anywhere for at least 3 years. My guilds grow from 45, to 125 to 300 plus at this point and still growing. So much so we had to branch into two guilds. If thats not a sign of a healthy game I dont know what is. |

Pledging my 50 soon as the weekend is up and I get paid. ALWAYS loved Wasteland. Great memories as a kid. I honestly am floored how well kickstart works. Wish someone would kickstart a Utopia remake with semi modern graphics. LOVED that game! Either way, Grats to the developers! |

Congratulations! Raised two kids myself from the age of 7 to 17. So I can officially say, its a BALL! No clue where the costs from that list came from. Cost me around 7,500 to feed them. Mind you I didnt pay for clothes or anything else. They got a education with Scholarships. Materials for other schooling were donated. Clothes was donated hand me downs. If you do it right, a kids fricking FUN! My biggest piece of advice is, make them part of your fun. If you enjoy to garden, let them garden. If you love to cook, let them cook. By the time there 12 its like having a professional work force *chuckles*.

Do you think the end is near (poll)
Off-Topic Discussion « General Discussion 3/04/12 3:06:56 PM
I am sure they will be more warms, more famine and definitely more droughts. Maybe billions or hundreds of millions will die. We will all be more uncomfortable. Will it end.. thats a pipe dream. |

Definitely good to see the development cycle MITE be starting or started for this game. No ones really sure how substantial the claims are that its really coming though. |

If you can't find a single sandbox MMORPG that you like, then you're not an MMORPG sandbox fan.
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 2/29/12 1:02:04 AM
The one thing this thread really proves is there is a passion out there for sandboxes. No matter what, as long as people are demanding them, theres room for improvement in the genre. Then again what genre doesn't have room for improvement. That demand is good. It drives game companies. Thats my real qualm with Quiz's opinion. Why worry about people complaining about no sandboxes. When it just drives the whole genre :D |

I get what Quiz is mad though. With so many supposed sandboxes out there it can appear were being picky or selfish. That being said he needs to respect the fact so many people havent found the one they desire or the setting. Everyone deserves fair representation in the mmorpg genre. Its what we all what after all. To have something we fit into. Ok deserve mite be a strong word. After all there are some genre styles which arent feasible. |

To be fair, I think people are just waiting for a sandbox of similar quality to a major AAA title. Eve is a excellent game. Its definitely a sandbox. My issue is, I havent found one which fits the setting and graphical quality I am looking for. Although Archage sure looks like it mite fit my desires. |

A bunch of people playing content together in a RPG setting is, a mmorpg. Simple end of story. Mechanics can vary. |

From what I read so far, the amount of beer she consumed with her meal and the valium available makes it look like a accidental death. Not even that rare of one. You mix that stuff together and get in a bath and your heart just stops. Same thing happens in hot tubs alot. I feel bad because she didn't even have to consume that much. Shit just .. happened.

Micro-Stutter in The Old Republic. Any idea how to fix it?
Questions & Answers « Star Wars: The Old Republic 2/06/12 3:12:06 PM
They've been trying to address this issue for weeks now. The more they mess with the engine though the more issues there running into with the Directx rending across the wide range of systems properly. What fixes one thing for one system is messing up another set. Up tell now I have'nt had any issues with my older system which runs on a ATI 4870 and a AMD 720BE. Unfortunately I can't say thats the case anymore as I am seeing character models grow to immense sizes, skins are coming off.. Anywho, its not a pc issue. Its a game engine issue. Heres to hoping its ironed out soon. |

I couldn't imagine having a partner who didnt game. Went through that 4 years. Now I have a beautiful gal who games more then I do! LIFE IS GOOOOOOD! Sadly we quite Rift because of the.. hrmm.. plastic storyline? Cant really put my finger on it, but the games story felt to contrived or just lacking something. We loved the pvp though. Stayed almost 7 months just for that. Gota admit, I wish other developers were as active as trion. I cant imagine SWTOR with a team like Trions. |

Sadly SWTOR is losing its appeal too fast for me at level 50.
Reviews & Impressions « Star Wars: The Old Republic 1/15/12 12:52:22 PM
Sadly I have had the same experience with Swtor as Pony. Which is irritating as hell because I love the storyline and many aspects of the game. I actually love the crafting system. I love the companions. The problem is, there are to many features missing at this point to feel like the game is fleshed out. We really only have datacrons to drive me to explore. Well that and crafting. Thank god I rarely use my companion to gather. Try playing a crafter and doing all your own gathering. Gets pretty damned exciting to find the rarer nodes. In the next year, which is generally the time I give all the games I play to polish, I hope to see many new features added. Dark Pony which features would you have added if you had the choice over the next year? |

SWTOR's LFG Tool - Know it, use it, love it.
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 1/10/12 11:55:15 AM
I really don't see the current system as all that bad. My server uses the comment system a lot. Not only that, General is the LFG channel on my server. Maximum wait for most areas is 2 minutes max. Mind you I have no issues with grouping since I play with my girlfriend.
